  Hi! I'm a 23-year-old living on a farm in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. I'm passionate about cooking, I do tattoos, and I'm about to begin building my own house using bioconstruction techniques, bamboo, and permaculture—so I'm looking for volunteers who want to be part of this dream from the very beginning.
  
  Here we live in harmony with nature, take care of the land, grow our own food, and share daily tasks with love (gardening, animal care, cooking, cleaning). It's a place where everyone can leave their mark. Come disconnect from the city, experience Colombian rural life, and connect with local people—and yourself.

  Hola, soy un chico de 23 años que vive en una finca en la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. Me dedico a la cocina, hago tatuajes. Actualmente, estoy por comenzar la construcción de mi propia casa con técnicas de bioconstrucción, bambú y permacultura, así que busco voluntarios que quieran ser parte de este sueño desde el inicio.
  
  Aquí vivimos en armonía con la naturaleza, cuidamos de la tierra, cultivamos nuestra comida, compartimos tareas con amor (huerta, animales, cocina, limpieza), y creamos un ambiente donde cada persona puede dejar su huella. Este es un lugar para desconectarse de la ciudad, conocer la vida del campo colombiano y conectar con gente local y con uno mismo.

  Hi! I'm Jacobo, 23 years old, living in Paso del Mango, a magical village in the Sierra Nevada of Colombia. I manage a small farm where I live with people who, although not blood relatives, are my chosen family — a tribe of heart and love. Here, we’re building a life project rooted in nature, community, simplicity, and connection.
  
  I’m beginning a beautiful new chapter: building my own house using natural techniques, growing a sustainable garden, caring for a small farm, and creating a space for sharing, learning, joy, and creativity.
  That’s why I’m looking for volunteers with good vibes, open to cultural exchange and eager to contribute with their hands, hearts, and ideas.
  
  💡 Got experience in natural building, architecture, or sustainable design?
  It would be amazing to have your help imagining and building this home from scratch — combining bamboo, permaculture, gardens, and creativity. Whether you're an expert or just eager to learn by doing, this could be a place for you to leave a mark.

  Accommodation in hammocks, tents or mats

  🍲 What do we ask?
  
  We cannot provide food for the moment so we ask for a 8 USD per day fee for buying food for you and to share with everyone here. We will provide 3 meals a day.
  We only ask you to have a positive vibration, we are surrounded by nature so take your time to breathe and relax. We are chilling in the middle of the jungle.

  💪🏽 What will you do?
  
  👉🏽 Around 2 hours of help per day (flexible), in activities like:
  
  Cooking, cleaning and keeping spaces organized
  
  Helping in the garden or with the animals
  
  Natural building projects
  
  Social media, creativity, or any skill you want to share
  
  
  ⏰ Meals have set times, but if you work online like me, we can adapt the rhythm together.

  🌿 A few tips:
  
  This is a wild and natural environment. You’ll see insects, feel the heat, hear frogs, walk barefoot, and maybe sleep with bugs nearby.
  This is not a hotel — it’s a chance to experience authentic rural life in Colombia. So please bring:
  
  Long pants and long sleeves
  
  Comfortable shoes
  
  Natural or regular repellent
  
  Swimsuit
  
  Your tent or mosquito net (if you have one)
  
  And most importantly — a great attitude!

  ¡Hola! Soy Jacobo, tengo 23 años y vivo en Paso del Mango, una vereda mágica en la Sierra Nevada de Colombia. Administro una finca donde convivo con personas que, aunque no son familia de sangre, son mi familia del alma.   🍲 ¿Qué pedimos?

  Solo te pedimos que tengas una vibracion positiva, estamos rodeados de naturaleza asi que tomate tu tiempo para respirar y relajarte. Estamos parchados en medio de la selva.

  🌿 Recomendaciones:
  
  Este lugar es natural y salvaje. Vas a ver insectos, sentir calor, oír ranas, caminar entre piedras y a veces dormir con bichos cerca. No es un hotel: es una experiencia de vida rural real. Por eso, trae:

  Repelente
  
  Traje de baño
  
  Tu carpa o toldillo (si tienes)

  Accommodation

  We offer accommodation in hammocks, tents or a shared room. It’s a rustic, simple space, but full of love, nature, and good vibes. You can bring your own tent or hammock. We also have one tent and 2 hammocks and the shared room is for volunteers so you will be sharing it with your peers.
  We have basic vegetables like ananas, banana, platano and mango when it is their season.
  
  Ofrecemos alojamiento en hamacas o tiendas de campaña. Es un espacio rústico, sencillo, pero lleno de amor, naturaleza y buena energía. Puedes traer tu propia tienda de campaña o hamaca. Tenemos una tienda de campaña y 2 hamacas además la habitación compartida es para los voluntarios por lo que la compartirás con tus compañeros.
  Tenemos verduras básicas como piña, bananos, plátanos y mango en temporada.

  Our home is your home while you are here. These are some of our adventurous rules:
  
  Quiet from 10:30 p.m. to rest and respect everyone but there are spaces where you can stay longer if you wish such as the campfire and part of the common space.
  
  If you see plastic on the floor, pick it up! We are part of the solution.
  
  Bathrooms, kitchen and common areas should always remain neat and organized.
  
  Tools are always put back where they belong.
  
  Helping with daily chores (cooking, cleaning, tidying) is part of the experience.
  
  Propose challenges, games, workshops or ideas - we love creativity!
  
  One of the important rules: Be happy while doing every task in our home, remember that you are part of it as long as you live here and enjoy every moment in the presence of your true self. This is the golden rule.
  
  Nuestro hogar es tu hogar mientras estés aquí. Estas son algunas de nuestras reglas aventureras:
  
  Silencio a partir de las 10:30 p.m. para descansar y respetar a todos pero hay espacios donde puedes quedarte más tiempo si lo deseas como la fogata y parte del espacio común.
  
  Si ves plástico en el suelo, ¡recógelo! Somos parte de la solución.
  
  Los baños, cocina y zonas comunes siempre deben permanecer aseados y organizados.
  
  Las herramientas vuelven siempre a su lugar.
  
  Ayudar en las tareas diarias (cocina, limpieza, orden) es parte de la experiencia.
  
  Propon retos, juegos, talleres o ideas. ¡Nos encanta la creatividad!
  
  Una de las reglas importantes: Ser feliz mientras realizas cada labor en nuestro hogar, recuerda que eres parte de él mientras vivas acá y disfruta cada momento en presecia de tu verdadero ser. Esta es la regla de oro.
