Description
Greetings!! We are a family of 7 - Trent, Bre and Tanden (4) + 2 rescue dogs, kimba & Tio and 2 kitties, Raven & Dos. We live in a jungle paradise in a beach town called litibu, which is situated near a small Mexican village called Higuera Blanca. Our jungle oasis is a dream that has been manifesting for more than 10 years, and finally in the last 5 years it has started taking shape. We are in the process of creating a very unique living experience in some dense Mexican jungle fauna. The concept is a couple unique Tiny houses set amongst palm nut palm trees, and many other native protected trees and massive boulders with multiple outdoor living platforms situated strategically throughout the property. The property will eventually have multiple veggie/fruit garden’s throughout. We will be exploring multiple farming techniques from Aeroponics, to Hydroponics and we learning more as we go. We have plans to incorporate some natural building techniques around the property, including the construction of a pizza oven, temezcal all built using natural materials that we find around the mountains where we live.

One of the most unique parts of our jungle oasis is the fact that we neighbor a local Mexican town called Higuera Blanca, this town is still very populated by Mexicans and has some amazing cultural experiences, from celebrating festivities, to finding amazing authentic Mexican food & drinks. There is a sports field that host a variety of local soccer, baseball & other sports events. Definitely a town that you will be able to immerse into true Mexican culture and speak as much Spanish as you would like and try some true Mexican dishes. Drive into town is 10min and about a 45min walk.

We are looking for a couple to take care of our animals and property while we are away. 2+ months - currently September and October. We are looking for someone that wants seclusion and is okay not being located around bars/clubs/restaurants. Ideally, already having experienced Central America summers with the humidity and rainstorms. Someone that wants to be immersed in the jungle/surrounded by nature, birds, insects of all shapes and sizes. Living in the jungle in a small Mexican town comes with unique challenges that someone needs to be prepared for. But it also comes with incredible serenity, sunsets, sunrises, rainbows, unlimited songs from birds, jungle animals, insects, reptiles, no light pollution which makes for incredibly dark nights with amazing stargazing, no sound of cars, sirens, motorbikes or anything other than the jungle animals and barking dogs. Needs to be an animal lover. Good with keeping the training active with our dogs. The list of projects would include but definitely not be limited to, making sure our fur babies are happy and well taken care of and continuing their training and walking them daily, loving on our already existing fauna, fixing the fence when necessary, setting up some edible garden spaces, building a compost, painting projects, wood working projects, general property maintenance (cleaning leaves, branches, debris from any rain storms)

We are located in a beach town, so access to an incredible beach with great swimming and surfing is 10 min walk from the property. 45 minute walk to groceries and restaurants. We are also located at the base of one of the most beautiful mountain hikes that gets you incredible views. There is a mountain bike club located 10 minutes from the property that offer mountain biking trails. We are 25 minute drive away from an awesome surf town called Sayulita which is bursting with amazing restaurants, cafes, bars, live music, art, yoga, wellness. Our town of Litibú has an amazing little community with a nice balance of Eco-conscious expats, retired Mexicans and young families starting their dream projects. The town has one established Eco-Community with about 10 homes located on a beautiful ocean front property, they are very welcoming to surrounding neighbors to come enjoy their community spaces, which include fruit forest, book exchange, yoga/meditation/peace garden.
