A great attitude is the most important job requirement. Honest, clean and responsible would all come in a close second place. My wife and I mainly need a helping hand with gardening and housework. No skills required if you're willing to listen and follow instructions. Pretty simple right?
We have a large family home with grounds that need a helping hand, 4-5 hours per day (20-25 hours per week), in exchange for the best time of your life! (meals and accommodation are a bonus on the fun:)
I'm an American and my wife is English. We look forward to exchanging and sharing our cultural differences. (wouldn't it be boring if we were all the same:)
We love our dogs! Molly is years 11 years old, Milly who is 8 and two recent additions, Stella and Sophie, two adorable Jack Russell pups. We enjoy giving them a good life, along with our 9 pet sheep.
We encourage a positive 'can do' cheerful attitude and willingness to lend a hand without the need of being asked. Start time is 10am, working in a stress free environment. We encourage you to relax and enjoy your moments with us and make it your home while you're with us.
The mountain is AMAZING and will truly be one of the highlights of your journey throughout N.Z. The coastal regions are amazing too, with numerous places to explore. The center of Hawera is about a 20 minute walk from our home. We have a bicycle if you'd like to explore further.
On those sunny warm days, clothing is an option in the spa, sunroom and back garden - :)

I am an American by birth but enjoy dual citizenship with New Zealand. My wife is from England. We've lived in N.Z. for decades and feel it's our home on most days. We look forward to exchanging stories, ideas, recipes and future travel plans as we've been pretty much everywhere in N.Z. at least once.
Help in maintaining two properties in Hawera and Opunake. Mowing lawns, trimming, planting, weeding, painting and various other exterior help. Inside would be cleaning and helping in the kitchen, cleaning up after meals:)
We're allergic to children :) so you won't have to be concerned with child care. We value our adult household.

We have three bedrooms - bedroom one, super king, bedroom two, queen and three, a single, all extremely comfortable. The 3 bedrooms share a toilet, shower and sink, separate from us. You'll have the upstairs part of the house, secluded and private from our downstairs living quarters. We share the dining and kitchen area for meals.
