In our family hotel we have 5-6 paid staff that will be so happy to get to know you better 😊
I am Nirakar,
I am a retired police officer from the Nepal Police.
My years working with the local community, thought me many valuable lessons and gave me also meaningful experiences that have shaped who I am today.
In the days ahead, I wish to dedicate my life to guiding and teaching the younger generation who will be the leaders of the country of Nepal in the future.
The country has given me so much, and I feel a responsibility to give back through social work, passing knowledge and giving work opportunities and also open the perspective of the local young students in Kathmandu.
About the place
Our hotel is a small and friendly, located just five minutes from the touristic Thamel area of Kathmandu but in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The hotel has private rooms with hot shower, a small restaurant in the lobby, offering organic and healthy food, and a lovely rooftop, suitable for yoga classes, gatherings, sessions and events.
Our story
Since the time of the pandemic and the political situation in Nepal, tourism has slowed down. We are looking for young energy and creative people who can help bring life back into the place. People who enjoy creating a good atmosphere, connecting with others, creating events, teacher yoga and bringing young spirit to the place.
This will give our local workerrs a chance to get cultural experience and to practice their English.
Growing the hotel’s income and activity will allow us to help the local community develop and create more social events for the benefit of the people of the neighborhood.
We are offering our volunteers a room (maybe shared- depends on the number of volunteers) with a private bathroom and 3 meals a day

You’ll work alongside local staff, learn service customs, greetings, and local traditions.
You’ll also be able to share your own culture through food, stories, and small activities.
English is used, but you’ll naturally learn some Nepali words and expressions.
The experience offers a deep look into local tourism, cultural exchange, and respectful communication between visitors and locals.
Help
1) Yoga instructor
We welcome yoga instructors to conduct yoga sessions for our guests and team members on our beatifull rooftop.
This is an ideal opportunity for those who enjoy peaceful surroundings and wish to share their knowledge of wellness, mindfulness, and yoga practice.
2) BBQ & Event Coordination
We need help organizing and promote a weekly BBQ night & special events on our rooftop.
You’ll assist in creating the ideas, setting up the events, engaging with guests, promote it and creating a warm and social atmosphere.
3) Marketing & Social Media Assistance
We need help to promote our property through creative marketing and social media engagement.
We’re looking for volunteers skilled in photography, videography, content writing, and digital promotion to help share the beauty and hospitality of our hotel and bring more people.
This can include also Facebook / Instagram / TikTok / WhatsApp, video/reel and anything that can spread the word
4)General maintenance
Some ongoing maintenance projects such as: painting, renovating and small repairs to make the place looks nice & clean for guests all the time.

I have traveled to many countries and gained experiences from different cultures. Also, I am an actor and a songwriter (lyricist),sports and motorcycles fan . I also have a farmhouses that gives work to local villagers in rural Nepal. My goal is to contribute to society, giving them a chance to develop and to inspire them to learn, grow, and lead with integrity.
