Description
We are a Non-Government Community Based Organization (CBO), charity, non-profit making, non-political organisation that its idea of start emerged in 2018 founded and led by survivors of another organisation with a spirit to support children grow in a safe environment without any risk that would expose them to early marriage in the community. The purpose for establishing it was from a commitment to “promote zero tolerance towards traditional forced marriage which leads to Sexual Assault (SA) and slavery among teenagers” in Karugutu Town Council, Ntoroko District - western Uganda.
MISSION
Mobilizing resources to protect and defend teenagers against traditional forced marriage.
VISION
Building a community that is free from traditional forced marriage.
OBJECTIVES
1. Creating awareness to address the impact of traditional forced marriage among teenagers.
2. Lobbying resources for participatory traditional forced marriage mitigation strategies.
3. Offering psycho-social counselling support to alleviate distress, restore hope and enhance coping up among traditional forced marriage victims.
The Organization has no paid staff, but we currently have five full time volunteer staff members who offer their time and commitment to achieve organization goals. These include:

I am looking for workwayers who can support in achieving Organization goal ( Promoting zero tolerance towards traditional forced marriage which leads to Sexual Assault (SA) and slavery among teenagers” in Karugutu Town Council, Ntoroko District - western Uganda) through efforts in conducting needs assessment, responding to issues regarding traditional forced marriage and its associated risks, and supporting victims to recover from the trauma.

The accommodation is a double room (not self contained). The kitchen, toilet and bathroom are outside the house. There’s a seating room with free Wi-Fi, the rooms have strong metallic doors that are closed using strong padlocks. The ceiling is strong enough and therefore does not leak. A mosquito net is provided on the bed freely and the floor has tiles and the house is well ventilated.

We work within the most marginalized communities of the most traditional forced marriage practicing tribes of Bakonzo, Batooro, Bamba, Bawisi, Batuuku, Bahima and Baruru.
