    Description

    We are building a small handmade cottage using earth and bamboo. "Pau-a-pique" is the name of this traditional bioconstruction technique.

    This project is about simplicity, good food, good music, good vibes. It's about sharing more than just work. Learning and teaching more than duties. Friendship, that's it.

    I'm a traveller, and I used to be a volunteer years ago in a little farm in a lost village in South Korea. After my own experience I decided to host young souls in my new land. It is so nice to be part of a family so far from home. And our home is our temple. And the temple of this pilgrim is Minas Gerais, the more welcoming place in Brazil.

    Probably you don't know where is Delfim Moreira. It's Okay, check your map. Is a secret village in Mantiqueira Mountains, not far from Rio de Janeiro, not far from São Paulo... but super calm and safe environment. With fresh air, cold weather, trails and beautiful waterfalls. So.. how a such beautiful place is not famous? I don't know.. haha And I kinda like this. Even better a place not so full of tourists, right?

    So, dear friend-volunteer, send me a message! Tell me about you, and ask me about the meaning of life. Well, I will try my best to help you to find the answer by yourself.. haha

    Actually life is simple. And happiness is not complicated task - or full of rules. Let's just live the moment. Comunication is essential. And to respect each other's nature.. Okay, let's come back to reality.. you are reading a volunteering profile, not your horoscope... haha

    All meals are included, and we cook together. The accommodation house with private room for volunteers in a rural area 2 km from the city and 6 km from the construction site. It has fiber-optic Wi-Fi and a nice backyard. A river nearby and beautiful view.

    The building is located in a rural condominium 8km from the city Delfim Moreira, with some neighbors and friends living nearby. Itajubá - Minas Gerais - is the main city close, every day buses leave from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to there.
