Description
My husband and I recently moved to Portugal from the USA, although we are Canadians! We have a bit more on our plate than we can handle, so we're hoping to find a good fit to help us. We live 10kms from Tomar in a small quiet village.
We have a hectare of land with olive trees, orange trees, pear trees, apple trees and fig trees. We also have a lovely pool which we regularly use.

Help
We are looking for a single traveler or a couple, to help us with various projects. We have various projects on the go that we need help with:
Need a workaway person with valid drivers license, as we live in a small village and need a car to get around. We are looking for someone to drive us shopping, errands, etc throughout the week. We have an electric car and a diesel car, both cars are automatic transmission.
We also hope to find someone interested in social media, to help us shoot, edit and post content for my husband's garage band.
Lastly, we want help in our small piece of land - doing yard work, feeding and caring for our animals, helping with pool maintenance, general maintenance like painting, power-washing, etc.
Required: Valid drivers license
Helpful skills:
Video production/editing
Computer competency, including social media platforms
Ability to lift and carry 20kgs (for yard work, fruit harvest, etc)
Self-dependent, can manage to care for yourself, including cooking for yourself, outside of provided meals.
Harvesting and light housekeeping can be easily taught; no experience needed.

Accommodation
We will provide traveler(s) with a large private garden room, which includes a double bed, a desk, a small cooktop and a small fridge. The room is away from the main house, and will share the full pool bathroom. There is a possibility of sharing the bathroom and the terrace with another garden room, if we have a family member or friend visiting us.

What else ...
Public transit is not an option here, but there is a very affordable shared taxi into town M-F leaving our village at 9am and returning at 12:30pm. The fare is 1.50 each way and must be booked the day before. We can help you with that.
We live a very quiet life with our dog. Neither of us smoke and our preference is to maintain a non-smoking living area. We expect quiet hours between 10pm and 8am.
A little more information

Internet access

Limited internet access

We have pets

We are smokers

Can host families

Can host digital nomads
My husband is a musician, and I manage rental properties, and we are both reliant on fast and reliable internet service. We also have an Airbnb apartment in our house, so we depend on connectivity.

Space for parking camper vans
We have lots of land where a campervan can be parked, although access to water and electricity would have to be figured out. Electricity will be easier to figure out then water access, but we can look into this.

Can possibly accept pets
We have a barn cat and a very social and people-friendly dog. Our dog is not dog aggressive or reactive, she just prefers the company of people. The yard is fully fenced.

How many Workawayers can stay?
More than two

My animals / pets
Lucy
Lucy is a super-friendly human-loving dog. She loves to follow pilgrims walking the Caminho.
