  Homesteading, fruit & veg growing, self sufficiency.
  
  I have just acquired a property & land. Its an old farmhouse with a decent sized garden. I am looking for help to get roots into the ground....planting fruit trees and a vegetable garden.
  
  The property is in the so called sunny south East of Ireland and overlooks the sea. The local town Tramore has cafes, pubs, grocery stores and public transport readily available. It also has the famous metal man statue.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  Help will typically involve sowing drills of different vegetables or trays of seedlings, prepping vegetable beds, planting out young plants, hoeing, weeding, thinning out drills. Depending on the time of year, you may also get to harvest & eat some homegrown produce.

  Any knowledge in gardening & growing food is a bonus but a pair of hands and a good work ethic will do.
  
  This project is for homegrown use only and is just for fun/personal consumption. It is not being done on a commercial scale so you will not get any large scale farming experience here.

  Spare bedroom in farmhouse. Access to all utilities.
  
  There will be a constant store of fresh fruit & veg, oats/rice/seeds & other dried foods available such that you can have 3 meals a day. I try to eat as much homegrown food as I can & I typically eat very simply. No meat or processed foods are bought for the house.

  5 minute walk from beach. 10 minute cycle from town. Buses into Waterford and beyond from town.
