Description
We are a community cooperative based in Abruzzo, among the mountains of Teramo in Central Italy. Our mission is to support and regenerate the local area in a sustainable and inclusive way, through cultural, social, and educational initiatives that connect people, ideas, and resources.
As a community cooperative, we carry out a variety of projects aimed at local development. These include a small year-round coliving space with 10 cozy rooms, a multi-purpose hall for events, workshops, and wellness activities, and sports fields that are freely open to the community. We also manage a community vineyard, and an innovation project focused on improving the forest-to-wood supply chain in our region.
The place was born from the desire to create a welcoming, shared space where people from all over the world can meet, collaborate, and live meaningful experiences—both in nature and in connection with our local community.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You’ll experience the rhythms of life in a small mountain village in Abruzzo, discover local traditions, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Teramo area. Depending on the time of year, you might take part in community events, wellness classes, nature walks, or creative gatherings.
Volunteers are welcome to participate in the workshops and activities we organize for the local community. These may include yoga or mindfulness sessions, art and craft labs, music, storytelling, and more.
We’re happy to share our Italian culture—and curious to learn about yours! Volunteers can practice or improve their Italian, and we love when people bring their own knowledge, skills or cultural perspectives to enrich the space. Whether it’s cooking a dish from your country, leading a workshop, or simply sharing a story, your presence adds value to our collective journey.Help
We’re looking for volunteers to help with:
- Assistance during events, workshops, and community activities
- Light manual help or gardening
- Creative or artistic projects
- Content creation for our social media channels (photos, videos, storytelling)
- Helping with the management and upkeep of our community sports fields, which are freely open to everyone
We’re open to all ideas! If you’d like to develop a cultural, educational, or artistic project that involves our community, we’d love to welcome and support you.Languages

Our main language is Italian. Some of us speak English fluently, while others know the basics and are always happy to practice. Communication with international guests and volunteers is always possible, and we enjoy the exchange. Some members of our team also speak Spanish and German. We're happy to help Workawayers learn or improve their Italian, and we love discovering new languages and cultures through our volunteers. If you speak other languages, don’t hesitate to share—we welcome language exchange with open arms!Accommodation
We offer accommodation in a shared apartment located near our coliving space, in a quiet and green area of the village. Volunteers have their own private or shared room (depending on availability), and share the kitchen, bathroom, and common spaces with up to 2 other Workawayers.
The apartment is cozy and functional, with everything you need for a comfortable stay— washing machine, heating, and a fully equipped kitchen. Bed linen and towels are provided.
You’ll be just a short walk away from the main house, where activities and events take place. We live in a peaceful mountain setting in Abruzzo, so it’s perfect for those who enjoy nature, simplicity, and a slower rhythm of life.
We provide three meals a day as part of the exchange. Whenever possible, meals are shared with our team and the community—these are special moments to connect and enjoy local flavors together. On days when eating together isn’t possible, we make sure Workawayers have access to ingredients so they can prepare their own meals. We aim to keep the experience warm, nourishing, and flexible. What else ...
