Description
The project involves helping cultivate a half acre property near the banks of the Columbia river. The goal is to revive much of the natural ecosystems as well as create a regenerative food forest and garden that provides nutrients to members of every kingdom- human, animal, myco, plants, insect or otherwise. Techniques for mitigating various types of polutions suchs as noise, air, and water will be considered.

Helpers are welcome to enjoy any part of the half acre property to relax, do other work, use the internet, meditate, play music, exercise or whatever helps them maintain their own daily balance.
The waterfront is a quick 5 minute walk and is a great place to spend time and meet locals. A bicycle will be provided to get around. There is also a bus system, but it’s about a 3km walk.
Weekend excursions are optional, but include hiking, biking , van camping , visit nearby downs, and many other nature oriented excursions. Typically we’ll go to the main Portland farmers market every Saturday morning. As venues open up there will be more opportunities in the city as well.
Vancouver is a smaller city vibe next to a vibrant culturally rich city, Portland. Both cities have historic sites such as Pittock Mansion and Fort Vancouver. Portland is known for its garden and is known as “Rose City”, so don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.
