Description
We are a private pre-primary and primary school located in Guelmim city, in the south of Morocco (Sahara region).
Our mission is to help children acquire new skills and reach their full educational potential in a supportive environment.
The children in our school are aged between 3 and 12 years, divided into 9 levels. We aim to introduce them to French as a second language after Arabic, and English as a third language.
We are currently looking for volunteers to assist our main English and French teachers. Volunteers may occasionally be asked to lead short teaching activities for training purposes.
There is only one shift per day. The working hours are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM only.
Volunteers are required to stay for a minimum period of 4 weeks.
Accommodation & Living:
You will stay in a fully equipped modern house with all necessary facilities, ensuring comfort and a pleasant living environment during your stay.
Transport & Free time:
A car is always available to take you wherever you need. We also have a transport vehicle for school trips. Additionally, Hamza can lend you a bicycle if you want to explore the city during your free time.
We accept a maximum of 3 volunteers at the same time.
We are fully available to answer your questions and provide more details about our school and future plans.
Welcome!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will end your stay with a rich cultural experience (learning how to live in a Muslim country, how to cook Moroccan food, our Sahara traditions, and the Arabic-Hassani language).
So, if you’re planning to come to Morocco and live an unforgettable experience, this is your chance. The beauty of South Morocco is waiting for you! All you need is a love for children and good communication skills. In return, we offer free accommodation and transport (details in the next paragraph), as well as weekly trips to different oases and beaches…
Trips: Hamza plans to take you on weekly trips to different regions and areas of the south. There are oases, beaches, fig cooperatives, camping sites, the desert, mountains, monuments, and other surprises, as well as destinations such as Taghazout for surfing lessons, Plage Gzira, Mirleft, Sidi Ifni, and the city of Agadir.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Volunteers are expected to work from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM only. The schedule can be organized on arrival in order to divide tasks among all volunteers.

Please, the volunteer should dress properly for teaching, take good care of his/her body, and cover any tattoos. Smoking and drinking alcohol during working hours are strictly forbidden.
We also kindly ask you to respect our culture and traditions. Some points can be discussed with you in more detail when you contact us in order to make everything clear.
All of this is because we want you to set a good example for the children.
