Description
Hello! We are a Japanese family of four with two young daughters, looking for someone who enjoys spending time with children and experiencing everyday life in Japan.
Both parents have lived abroad, and we love meeting people from different cultures.
Our daughters are learning English, and we hope to welcome someone who can speak English with them naturally through play, reading, creative activities, and daily conversations.
We have hosted au pairs before and hope you will feel comfortable, relaxed, and truly at home with us.
Meals are provided, and we usually enjoy dinner together as a family. We also love sharing food and learning about different cultures.
Electric bicycles are available for exploring the area.
Our Location
We live in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, a beautiful town surrounded by forests and mountains, about one hour from Tokyo by Shinkansen.
Karuizawa is known for its natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful changing seasons.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys nature, countryside living, and a slower pace of life. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We hope you will feel like part of our family rather than just a guest. We enjoy sharing meals, conversations, and everyday experiences, and you are welcome to join us for family outings, seasonal festivals, and occasional trips.
We love traveling, outdoor activities, and winter sports such as ice skating and skiing. Living in Nagano offers great opportunities to enjoy nature and seasonal activities throughout the year.
During your stay, you can experience everyday Japanese family life, learn about Japanese customs and traditions, enjoy home-cooked Japanese food, and practice Japanese through daily conversations.
Both parents have lived abroad, so we understand how meaningful cultural exchange can be. We would also love to learn about your home country, traditions, food, and interests.
We hope to share our hobbies, discover new experiences together, and create wonderful memories through this cultural exchange. -
