Description
We are Tom and Ronnie, a couple in life and work, building in a variety of ecological and earth-based methods. We have three children, and we are all living on a beautiful sand dune in the southern part of Israel.
Our site is located on the sand duns of the Negev desert of southern Israel.Types of help and learning opportunities

Our site is located in a highly touristic spot in the middle of the Zin wilderness in the Negev desert of southern Israel. From it many walking and biking trails begin, up in mountains, through some springs, around animals of different kinds.
Volunteers will learn much about rammed earth, a truly beautiful and wise system of building which can hardly be found locally.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
Since building with rammed earth is a method that requires some teaching, we seek volunteers who will join us for a minimum of two weeks, and we believe that such a period of time will also allow then to acquire a fair amount of knowledge about this method. Building with rammed earth involves carpentry (building forms for ramming) and mixing, carrying, and ramming earth.
