    Description

A 12 hectares off-grid permaculture site located in a vast palm oil plantation in Bintan island, Indonesia. Our land is degraded and burned and we are here to restore it by agroforestry and natural farming. its a project of reforestation, and conservation because our land acts as the last refugee for the animals in the area and it's our duty to protect it. our primary project is reforestation based on sugar palm agroforestry that's more profitable than oil palm based plantation (to see the detail, watch "how to store a rainforest by Willie Smits). the other goal is to become a fully sufficient village (food, water, energy, waste management) based on permaculture principles. We do organic farming based on food forest system and aquaculture. We need a lot of help to establish the garden, orchard, and the forest. We already fully sustain our energy demand from solar power but we still need help to achieve food sustainability through natural farming, building infrastructure, and general maintenance of the house

In terms of food, we are located near the coast, so we get all of our protein from the sea (we just eat sea food basically) vegetables are provided by the garden, but currently we still need to buy grains.
