    Description

Hello there, my name is Joko, and I live in Palopo, it is small town and, the located is 365 km northen from Makassar. I have a Project of teaching English for everyone who wants to learn it. Because, I know that English is widely spoken language in the world nowaday, and also it will open the eyes to see how wide the world from other sides, we can go everywhere by English and without fears to get lost. Anyway, We need foreign volunteers who can help us for teaching and practicing English with teenagers. The main activity of the project for the volunteers is to run the English class. We can re-schedule it, it depends how long you'll stay so the class will be maximum useful. And I will try to provide any activities for you at your spare time like sightseeing. The level students are mixed. Since Covid 19 outbreak, the students are dwindle. However, I am trying to focus on oral English; I want these teenagers to feel comfy at speaking English. Fun activities during the class are good emotion to keep them interested and helping with their memories. Please, open your heart to make the children happy around the world and share your truly experience, dont hold your knowledge, but share it for the next generation.
So i hope to see you soon. 😊

    Best wishes

You will stay and sleep in a house as I am your host. Sharing food 2 times per day with local and home cooked meals. You can contribute by buying some food. But you can also have the option to get food by your own. (you can go out to have lunch or dinner in local restaurant/warung makan). There are many cheap meals/food around the town. And we have Asian/squat toilet at house, we don't have a western style shower,I am sure you can adapt it.

I will happy to show you around. When the class are off at the weekend, we can go sightseeing around the town, go to Toraja, Toraja is near from Palopo. It is just about 60 km. 2 hours by public transportation or you can go by motorbike. You can see greatest view along the way from Palopo to Toraja or maybe go to waterfall that close to the town.
