    Description

Hey, my name is Joko, I live in Palopo, it is a small town but it is under development. The location is 365 km in the Northen from Makassar. I have a project, it is teaching english. I know english is widely spoken language in the world nowaday, and also it can open our eyes to see how wide the world from other sides. We can go everywhere by speaking english and without scared to get lost. Anyway, I need foreign volunteers who can help me for teaching and practicing english with my students . The main activity of the project for the volunteers is running the english classes. We can re-schedule the time, it depends how long you'll stay, so the classes will be maximum useful. And I will acompany you in the spare time such as sightseeing around the town. Level of the students are mixed. I am trying to focus on oral english, I want these students feel comfy at speaking english. fun activities during the classes are good emotion to keep them interest and help with their memories.
I wish you can open your heart to make the children happy and share your truly experience, dont hold your knowledge, but share it for the next generation.
So I hope I can see you soon. 😊

    Best wish.

    Accommodation

You will stay and sleep in a house as I am your host. Sharing food 2 times per day with local and home cooked meals. You can contribute by buying some food. But you can also have the option to get food by your own. (you can go out to have lunch or dinner in local restaurant/warung makan). There are many cheap meals/food around the town. And we have Asian/squat toilet at house, we don't have a western style shower,I am sure you can adapt it.

I will happy to show you around. When the classes are off, we can go sightseeing around the town. Visit Toraja, Toraja is near from Palopo. It is just about 60 km. 2 hours by public transportation or you can go by motorbike. You can see greatest view along the way from Palopo to Toraja or you can go to cascade that close to the town.
