Description
We live here on a beautiful old farm in the Lüneburger Heide. We have 40 horses and during the German holidays, we organise an event. This is a week in which around 25-30 children come to our farm and they stay the whole week. We give them horse riding lessons, and the children ride 2 times a day.
We are only 40 minutes away from Hamburg. We always need help on this farm and you can help with many things, above all, of course, riding horses.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
On this farm there is always lot's of work, gardening, helping with the horses, maintenance e.t.c
We are looking for those who are interested in horses and have some outdoor experience with them. The work on this farm is not only taking care after the horses, but also being there for and entertaining the holiday-children. Our family speaks English, but be aware that almost all other workers and all the children speak only German. We can teach you German, but it would be easiest when you can already understand a little German.
You can choose what you want to help with. It could be farm-maintenance, kitchenwork, helping in the stables or working with the children. If you can speak German, you could also give horseridinglessons or lead the rides out.
A normal day is as follows:
- Between 06:30- 09:00 stablework
- Breakfast around 09:00
- Opportunity to join horse riding classes or joining with rides out
- At 14:00 we have lunch
- Around 19:00 we have dinner
In the times in between you have the opportunity to do gardening, painting, looking after the children, getting a powernap or whatever you wish. When you are not a morning person and don´t want to help in the stables, that is also oke, we will find something else that fits you!
The smoking is outside and not in the house!Languages

Helfen kann man z.B bei der Pferde- & Stallarbeit, mit den Ferienkindern, bei den Mahlzeiten, bei Reparaturen und Allem, was gerade so anfällt.… read more

All together I spent in there about a month. On the day of my arrival I had some trouble regarding the „lovely” german train system but everything ended up well and Tina and another girl picked me up from the nearest train station.
In the beginning I… read more
