    Description

Looking for help with our nearly 4 year old daughter and 14 month old son. We both work from home running our farm and campsite business so are always around but are very busy and need some extra help with playing with the kids, and cooking some meals, some light house work, tidying up the kid's mess! etc.

We would expect you to be clean and tidy, reliable, interested in an eco friendly lifestyle and living as part of a community. Experience with home schooling, forest school or Montessori would be ideal but not essential.

Accommodation would be in a yurt on the farm so ideally suited to someone who loves the outdoors. The yurt will be shared with another volunteer. You will have use of an outdoor compost loo and outdoor shower, access to indoor kitchen and wifi. The yurt is heated by a woodburner, wood provided.

We are ideally looking for someone to stay from March to October, though a minimum of a couple of months would be considered.

Our farm is in a rural location, having your own car is ideal. The area is suited to someone who enjoys nature, hiking, beaches and being outdoors. There is a small town nearby but not much night life or shopping!

We are happy to host people with their own children and this has worked well for us in the past.

    Thanks,
    Liss and Joe

Taking care of our nearly 4 year old daughter and 1 year old son. Our daughter is at nursery sometimes. This could be doing activities and playing with them, helping them get dressed, changing nappies, as well as light house work such as making some meals and snacks, tidying and washing their clothes and putting them away. Helping with the cooking and taking turns to cook for the group.
Our son loves reading baby books, singing songs, playing with a ball etc.
Our daughter loves arts and crafts and baking or cooking.
As we live on a farm there is plenty of opportunity for outdoor play when the weather is warmer!

    What else ...

Own transport is ideal as public transport is limited, the town and beaches are a 30 min cycle away. Bikes available to borrow. There are lots of nice beaches, walks and tourist attractions nearby. We are looking for people who are chilled out and independent. There is plenty of opportunity for chilling on the beach, surfing, hiking, camp fires etc. but not much in the way of nightlife!
