    Description

    Hello!

We are a warm family of four, with two children aged 7 and 2. We love spending time together, being outdoors, and discovering new places and cultures. We have a relaxed family lifestyle and enjoy nature, creative activities, cooking and simply spending quality time together. We have also travelled extensively as a family, we really value the experience of meeting people from different backgrounds.

We live outside the capital city Rabat, at a walking distance from the Atlantic ocean and Casablanca. We enjoy the combination of a relaxed family lifestyle, sunshine, nature and being close to the ocean, and plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding area.

Our home is a comfortable family home where we enjoy sharing everyday life, meals and experiences, while also respecting everyone’s need for privacy and personal time. We would like our Workawayer to feel at home with us, rather than simply coming to work.

Living in Morocco also offers a wonderful opportunity to discover Moroccan culture, practice French and/or Arabic, try local food and explore places such as Rabat, Casablanca and other beautiful parts of the country.

Coming to stay with us in Morocco would be a great opportunity to experience Moroccan culture from the inside, rather than simply visiting as a tourist. We live in Skhirat, just outside Rabat, the capital of Morocco, so our Workawayer can enjoy both a relaxed coastal lifestyle and easy access to a lively, historic city.

We would love to share our everyday life with her: Moroccan food, family traditions, local markets, celebrations, music, hospitality and the little things that make daily life in Morocco special. She would have the opportunity to discover Rabat, its medina, souks, cafés, historic sites and seaside, while also experiencing a more authentic side of Moroccan life through our family and our local surroundings.

We are looking for a female Workawayer, ideally, who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and would be happy to help us with our two children during the afternoons.

Our children are homeschooled in the mornings, while afternoons are generally dedicated to creative activities, outings, walks, outdoor play, reading, games and simply having fun and exploring together. We are looking for someone who can take an active role in these moments, propose activities, play with the children and encourage their curiosity and independence.

At home, we follow the Montessori educational approach. We would therefore particularly appreciate someone who already has a good understanding of the fundamentals of Montessori pedagogy and who is able to naturally incorporate these principles into her daily interactions with the children, as well as into the activities she suggests.

Kindness, respect and positive communication are extremely important to us. We value a gentle and respectful approach to children, listening to their needs and emotions, encouraging autonomy and treating them as capable individuals.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You will have your own private bedroom in our family home, with a shared bathroom. You will of course have access to all the shared living spaces of the house.

We live in a secure private residential community with a shared garden and swimming pool available to all residents.

The residence is within walking distance from the beach, there is a cycling path directly opposite the residence, and also a main road nearby with a bus connection to central Rabat, making it relatively easy to get into the city and enjoy everything the capital has to offer without needing a car.

From Monday to Friday, we will generally share the three meals of the day together as a family.
We have breakfast all together, lunch is often quicker and more practical during the day. Dinner is our main family meal, when we like to take our time, sit together, talk about our day and enjoy a proper meal around the table.

If we are not at home for a meal, our Workawayer is welcome to use the ingredients available at home to prepare something for herself. Alternatively, if she has specific dietary preferences or simply prefers to choose her own food/snacks she is welcome to do her own grocery shopping. We are flexible and want everyone to feel comfortable with the arrangement.
