    UPDATE 2025:
look: listing on farm in lofoten is not on for now, i'm sorry!
Home in Narvik available for hosting mom and two kids (same me hosting, other location).,
we will be staying in the lofotenplace some weeks douring summer), but

    THIS SHOUT OUT IS FOR:
    NARVIK! (3hour drive of lofoten)

hopefully someone wishing to come help us in apartment in town, assisting in re-location since our place in narvik
will need to be emptied for funiture and stuff.. driven 5 minutes down the road to a house by the sea.
this house of ours moving into, is in need of absolutely everything (still perfectly ok).
the garden/the kitchen the bedrooms the bath- all needs love (starting indoor paint/wallpapering) and i am on my own with the project and also the kids find it great with people staying-for help, but in the end for making the days enjoyable most importantly. together on everything what comes up, both your life and ours mixing- that we appreciate.
we wish to be sharing and that more hands are available in all tasks-- lots of everydaytasks like cooking/going here and there, interacting with the kids all days--but for this place spesificly carrying funitures/ carpentry/ plumbing/ roofing/ concretework is also plenty availabe..
did host about 60 people over the 10years in lofoten farm, --only wonderful all of'em.. someone 'who gets it' are not rare, really. lucky all of us experiensing such years of collaboration, love and hope.
lovley workawayers, we hope to be hosting in narvik aswell.

See Narvik pictures in collage in the profile. (make sure to know: narvik is what we are involving workawayers in this year-
lofoten farm i left, we only go visiting).

OLDER/NOT UPDATED txt in our profile:
Bought an old farm in lofoten islands (north of norway) and live with the contrasts winter/summer in a village not too far from the citycenter Svolvær.
we are now making this place into a good home, the house to be open for good people coming to stay, the farmbuilding for studio/workshops and to keep turkies/ducs/goats/pigs/horses/.. are working on a garden and planting the area with more trees, perennial flowers, vegetable, berries and herbs

This area is known for the northern lights and has people from all over the world visiting wintertime, summertime it's “the place” to watch the evening and midnight sun. the sun in summer can be seen from our home all 24 hours. all year round the nature will 'take your breath away' or maybe 'let you breathe more easily'.
making varied wonderful nutritious food is essential every day- as is great music, espresso and teas, fireplaces and bonfires, hikes in the mountains- or just calm along the sea, some good wine/beer, being useful, playing with the kids, and also a good night sleep.

  • Help

    Help

Looking for 1, or one couple for an initial period of a week. alot more tasks available if it works out. We can host robust, warmhearted and hard working people who are keen to help. it usually works out fine with a "learning by doing" prosess, but carpenters/bricklayers are always wanted- variety of projects underway and in the planning stages.

The barn needs love and help. Now we are about half way through renovating the house. There's so much to do.. . Help can include woodwork, gardening, digging in the garden/ laying new paths, cooking/cleaning, painting, helping with our two sons, bringing the dog along on your hikes, helping out generally and also do artsy stuff like mosaics and sculpture, or making whatever you get inspired to contribute with

    Accommodation

a room of your own. some nights should be spent outside just for the beauty of it-under the big sky, by a fire.
People i dont know stop by regularly to ask if they could please be allowed to put up a tent for some nights- as they ofcourse are welcomed to do- they find this place special, maybe because of the horisont and shoreline and the light
