  • Description

Hi, we have a hobby farm and hostel in Pemberton, British Columbia -- 25 minutes North of Whistler.

We host guests, weddings, events, and offer trail rides, hiking, motorsports, and jet boating adventures!

We are looking for guest services, maintenance, and animal care. We can train.

Room and board available in exchange for work. You can also grow a garden, use the shop, and enjoy all that the Coastal Mountains of British Columbia have to offer.

Single or double rooms are available in the staff accommodation suite, or hostel-style bunk rooms.

Send me a bit about you and your availability. We are looking for June-Oct and are flexible.

*EDIT - rooms are available now. We are not sure if the hostel will open this year, but we want to be prepared.

The Coastal Mountains of British Columbia host world-class ski resorts like Whistler and Blackcomb. And epic vertical mountains like the 8,000' Mt. Curry directly in front of us here at the Ranch.

All around us are amazing hikes like Joffrey Lakes, rivers, and trails for horseback riding and dirt biking. We have the toys, the boats, and the environment to deliver Adventure to our guests and staff.

The Ranch hosts weddings, events, camping, and b&b. And we have a weekly pool party with DJs. You'll enjoy your time here and have the opportunity to explore the local area with our guests, or on your downtime.

Wage is $15/hour (CAD) plus tips. We calculate your earnings and subtract your expenses. The hostel rate is $69/day, so 4-5 hours a day covers your room.

Hopefully, we are able to open and host guests, events and tours. If not, we'll work the farm and do some tours ourselves.

No minimum time required. One week to one month is good. I also have friends with farms, so there will be some other work opportunities. And I'm building a tiny house, so I'd love to have a carpenter onsite :).

  • Help

We host weddings and events and have a 20-bed hostel. Your role will alternate between hostel management and farm management. There will be housekeeping, some marketing, and general maintenance (pool/yard etc.).

We also need help with general farm maintenance, animal care (chickens, turkeys, pigs, horses, and Hero the Shepheard & barn cats), pool supervision, bartending, food prep and service, and housekeeping. We should have three to four staff, so lots of rotation through the duties. Also, if you want to build, plant, design, paint, or do anything creative, we're happy to support.

Other activities could include hiking, 4x4, dirtbike, and riverboat tours.

We are in the adventure business, so expect to have fun.

There is so much to do up here. We have ten acres. There are mountains and trails all around us. We have all the toys and do a lot of fun things...I mean, Adventure is our job here at the Ranch.

You can also visit the ocean in Squamish less than an hour away, or Whistler Village about 20 minutes away. Also, we have the hot springs down the river, glacier lakes nearby, and the best pizza ever here in town!
