    We are a family and small group of community operators aimed to create our farm as a product of eco-tourism education centre based on freedom to learn, sociocracy, arts, cooking and languages.

    Through the practices of responsible tourism, we support local businesses, sustainable development, and community empowerment.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Gunung Jerai is the beautiful nature area. Attractions include but are not limited to: peak tours, half day and full day treks, swimming, day/night jungle and various other opportunities to explore the surrounding of Gunung Jerai.

    The farm located in Gunung Jerai is a unique eco-lodge for travelers to enjoy leisure and relaxation around the mountain as well as away from city life. There are tropical fruits farm, and is ideal for a variety of recreational activities.

    We need help to cooperate with our wonderful team members (farm work, eco & art project).

    The duties will depend on when you visit, but could include:
    + Helping to re-paint or make new exciting artwork and murals in and around our farm. I would love someone who also loves nature and animals. Help mostly required for farming, natural building and composting.
    + Helping to fundraise for our community projects (including an education fund)
    + Other duties as relevant to your skill set and what we need at the time

    We are seeking people with professional experience, and the desire to truly make a difference with their time. In exchange, we will provide a chance to explore the jungles and waterfalls in Gunung Jerai, and be welcomed by a friendly team of our farm co-workers.

    Accommodation is provided - bedroom and bathroom. There is a bike to go to the local market or can ride for outdoor activities. Cooking raw materials are provided. Each volunteer is responsible to clean his own sleeping space and maintain it in a good standing.

    Getting There

    From Penang International Airport, you can take Rapid Penang Bus to Penang Ferry Terminal cost MYR2.70 or by Grab cost MYR22.00 (16.9km). Then take the ferry to the Butterworth Ferry Terminal.

    Butterworth Train Station is just next to Butterworth Ferry Terminal. Walking from the jetty to the Butterworth KTM train and continue your ride on the train to the Gurun Train Station at MYR4.90 fares and the journey takes 50 minutes (64km)

    From the Gurun Train Station to the farm (3.7km), you can contact the host to invite you, we are available to provide the customer service for all of our volunteer.
