Description
I was born in a big city and tried to escape for almost 30 years. Than I did it. After two years traveling around the world with my wife we decided to move on the mountain and start a slower life. We cultivate food for us and for our children, we try to buy km0 products and to be self-sufficient. We take care of a few animals, like chickens, cats and donkeys. We enjoy to know people from other cultures and to give them the same ospitaliyy we had when we were travelling.
In our town you will find quiet, a lot of nature and nice people to meet.Types of help and learning opportunities

With us you will find full availability if you want to learn our language and our culture, including cuisine. If you want, we will help you discover meeting places with the local community.
As far as possible we will share with you what we know about agriculture, livestock and manual tasks.
Likewise, we expect to learn something from you, whether you're from the next region or on the other side of the world.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We need a hand with various things, such as taking care of the vegetable garden, maintaining fences, pruning hedges or mowing the grass. We also need help in caring for animals and their environments. Occasionally we may need help with small building tasks.
We will mostly do these tasks together, but we may ask you to do something independently.Languages

We provide a room with bathroom or, in alternative, a self contained caravan. We provide food for independent cooking and, sometimes, we can share food at our place and have good conversation.
What else ...
In your free time you can enjoy nature, walking, biking or visiting beautiful places around us. Here you can visit Montefiorino, Frassinoro, Palagano (nice and small mountain villages) 4 to 10 km away from here.
If you prefer cities, things are less simple. We are 40 minutes from Sassuolo, 1 hour from Modena, 1:30 hours from Bologna (by car). Unfortunately public transport here is poorly developed and there are few buses going to Sassuolo, which is well connected to other cities. Depending on our commitments, we can provide a lift.A little more information
