🌲 Join Us for a Summer of Adventure, Growth, and Community! 🌲

Ever dreamed of working at a place where community, creativity, and play come alive? Camp is a small nonprofit overnight camp in Northern California that blends progressive child development, intentional community living, and the wildest games you’ll ever play. Our campers will remember you for life—and you’ll leave with unforgettable friendships, new skills, and a deeper sense of who you are.

We’re looking for adventurous and dedicated team members to join us for Summer 2026 in roles such as Counselor, Program Coordinator, Equestrian Manager, and more!

✨ What Makes this place Unique

Community-centered culture: 1:5 counselor-to-camper ratio, rooted in Nonviolent Communication, sociocratic decision making, and collaborative living.

Intentional Training: 3.5 weeks of intensive staff training in child psychology, leadership, activity facilitation, and community building. Spend about 1/3rd learning clinics, 1/3rd learning behavior management, and 1/3rd learning camp by doing camp with each other. :)

Endless activities: You are taught to facilitate your top 10-15 of 100ish clinics that you want to learn and teach. High ropes, blacksmithing, jewelry smithing, horseback riding, archery, arts, wilderness skills, and more. See them here: ask us for the link

Simple living, big imagination: Get back to human nature with rustic living where campers and staff are compelled to create their own stories, music, and adventures.

ZERO LIVING EXPENSES - Housing, meals, and utilities provided (organic, healthy meals with diverse dietary accommodations)

Additional work available pre- and post-season - Make thousands more if you can come early/stay late!

As a member of our community, we hope that you will be able to bring your deep knowledge of the world, your unique perspective on human interaction, and the skills and hobbies that you have developed during your lifetime.

    Help

The type of help throughout the summer depends greatly upon role of the person in the community. For any role the days are just packed.
Counselors during the summer will be in a cabin with five campers each week, facilitate activities throughout the day, play in camp-wide games in the evening, eat community meals during the day, and find other ways to improve camp operations. When campers are not on site we focus on program development, site maintenance, and activity preparation.
This is a residential job. The summer wage is $5000, and we provide housing, utilities, and freshly-made organic food every day!
