    Description

In Porsanger in the middle of the nature of Finnmark I live with 10 Husky/Greenland dogs. I work daily as a technical manager at Avinor at Lakselv Airport, Banak and am looking for 1 or 2 people who can help me with all things at "the little Rancher" with chickens and dogs etc. I am 54 years old and have lived my entire life here in our 3-language municipality of Porsanger, and after a breakup, I am in a period where I need help with daily tasks such as training, grooming, and all kinds of tasks.
I have worked as a guide and instructor in dog sledding Musher, so all training on necessary new tasks will be provided.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Porsanger has a 3- culture region Norsk/Finnish/Sami. during your stay here you will therefore get an insight/experience of the three different cultures in one way or another way. We often use a traditional Sami lavvu when we camp outdoors and eat traditional Sami food on overnight trips/gatherings.

And living in polar regions requires a lot of daily chores such as shoveling snow, watering dogs, cutting wood for and heating the house in addition to training dogs and grooming and feeding the animals on the "Ranch"
Parts of the tasks are worked on alone when I am in the mountains or at work, sometimes we will also go on trips in teams or with others if desired.

If you want to visit Finnmark, Porsanger is the optimal starting point for your visit. We are located in the middle of the Finnmark, and since there is a lot to learn and see, there is no point in coming for only a short time. Therefore, it is desirable that those who come stay longer, since much of the initial time will be spent on training
