After a cancellation left me with nowhere to stay, Phil took me on with less than 48hrs notice. Suffice to say, in all regards, she is a guardian angel, and working with her for the last month has been a pleasure and a privilege. My jobs have included weeding, trimming hedges, raking leaves, carrying wood, removing debris left in the river after a

Phil loves her food, whipping together gourmet dishes and taking us to local restaurants and markets when we have time. As our month draws to a close I am deeply grateful and hope our paths cross again soon! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I spent two weeks at Phil's house, and it was a wonderful two weeks. Phil and his son Jack are two lovely people, they opened the doors of their house for me and treated me in an incredible way. Phil is a great cook, he cooked delicious meals and I always had access to everything I wanted.
Working at his house was always very pleasant for me, Phil
… read more told me right from the start what he wanted me to do and let me work at my own discretion. I did yard work, cleaning, and painting, and Phil always told me I had done a good job.
I can only thank everything they did for me, it was a great experience I had with them, and I am sure we will see each other again.
Thank you very much for everything to both of you. I will always remember you.

Cristiano Jasper Silva (Chris for short), 08/06/1974, stayed with us in our house in Killumney Village, Co Cork, from 18th October to 5th November.
We were most impressed with the effort he put in to his working hours (5/day).
The type of work he was carrying out to full satisfaction were
• Removing leaves, cleaning flower beds using a Quad with
… read more trailer,
• Cleaning windows, including window structures,
• Extreme weed killing and weed removal from difficult areas,
• Cleaning and weed-stripping a substantial amount of old stone walls and a pig-sty,
• Daily twice feeding 3 large Golden Retriever dogs,
• Looking after the house when we were away;
He is a pleasant, easy going man with a nice temperament and we enjoyed hosting him.
I can strongly recommend Cristiano Jasper Silva as a “WorkAway” candidate.
Sverre, Host

I've been working a lot at Mr. Sverre's house since 18 of October. Cleaning garden, collect leaves from the ground (it's Autumn), cleaning windows of the house, feeding dogs, cleaning weeds from stone walls, etc, etc. But.... The place is fantastic! Mr. Sverre explains the activities clearly and calmly. Food is good. House is quiet and large.
… read more Probably I've never lived in a so big house! Dogs are nice. I worked only 5 hours per day, no more than this. The bedroom is warm and big. Fortunately, most of the time I listened Mr. Sverre saying: "Uhmmm... Good.... Well done Cris". I just have to say THANK YOU for everything! I know that it's not easy to open the doors of your house for someone that you don't know very well.... but everything is all right! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
