I came there last minute for two weeks and I had a great time :)
It's a beautiful spot and a lot to explore, no matter if to the beach or into seal bay park. I had a lot of freetime in the morning :) Tasha always let me ride her bike which made the exploring a lot easier.
I helped cleaning and watched the kids in the afternoon. We had a good

I spent a lovely April at Tasha and Ryan's home. Most of my time was spent babysitting the adorable Ria while Tasha went to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The rest of my time was spent hanging out with the boys, playing hide and go seek, and jumping on the trampoline when they got home from school. Tasha is a great chef so you are guaranteed to

If you like to play, you'd love it here. Tasha and Ryan have a beautiful backyard to be explored with a game of hide and go seek. They are also communicative and flexible about when I can have time off and when the priority work time is. I didn't worry about making assumptions because I felt comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback about what was expected if me.
I spent most of my time off trail running in Seal Bay Nature Park, which has a trailhead 2 houses down the road. It is a very large park with kilometers of trails to be explored, and it leads to a nice beach. There are other beaches within walkable distance from the house that I got to see on my time off. Tasha also drove me to 2 provincial parks -Miracle Beach and Kitty Coleman- as well as William's beach (with great trails nearby) and Saratoga beach. I loved exploring the outdoors on my time off and I felt like I got to experience that side of the island to the fullest with Tasha's support. I spent the time with them for two months. Tasha and Ryan are very nice, kind and generous people, and even though I’m the first workawayer for them, they were really welcoming. From the beginning Tasha made clear that how and when she needs help, so it was easy to adjust their routine. I mostly looked after the youngest one, she is just adorable!

It was so much pleasure to see her growing up like standing on her own, clapping hands and nearly walking. Boys are sweet, curious and friendly. They like playing on tranpoline and hide-and-go-seek. There is nice huge backyard and I liked walking there with the youngest one or playing in the woods with boys. Thanks again Tasha for having me and making my stay comfortable. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
