We all loved having Gemma and Andrew stay (that is myself, partner, daughter, neighbors and dog), so much so they ended up staying for 2 months. Gemma and Andrew will give anything a go, they were very helpful, kind and caring. They fitted right into Dunedin life and our lives straight away signing up to hockey, boxing lessons and couch surfing
… read more meetings. You will be fortunate to host them. We would love to have them back.

Where to start? Staying with Shelly, John and Inara (and Rove) was just amazing! Even if you may not get that feeling with the description in their profile, life with them it's just easy and beautiful. So much, that we ended up staying two months with them! They are kind and lovely people and they helped us in anything we needed just from the very
… read more first moment :) The house is gorgeous and the meals were soo good that was hard to stop eating during the day haha. Work with Shelly is easy, and she works along with you which is nice, tasks are normally housekeeping and some gardening if weather is nice. My favourite though, was of course, spending time with their lovely 6 years old Inara, who I miss so much. We played games and watch movies and even did a excursion in our van what she enjoyed so much! I did also lots of baking which I learnt from Shelly and took all recipes with me, yummy!! Work with John is more physical, he has many projects in mind around the property and the patience to teach you along the way. They were always keen to take us to places and to discover the area, they are really easy going, always cared about us being comfortable. The bedroom is also really good and it's hard to wake up as is so comfy!! And you have lovely views to the harbour and the trees of the property + a bath!! Rove, their dog, is also super cute and cuddly so was hard to say by to him too! In general we had such an amazing experience, life was easy with them and we just had a kiwi style life which was nice as there is lots to do in the neighbourhood (I even joined weekly boxing classes) and the centre is not that far so you can easily go by bike, bus or they kindly offer to drive you also. I could just go on and on about the good things of being here but maybe it's enough! If you are looking for a few easy comfortable days with a kiwi lovely family this is your place. We miss you lots and we felt like part of the family and that is precious. We hope to see you soon and continue to see Inara growing, lots of hugs from Gemma and Andrew :heart:You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
