  Description

  We are a a German/Canadian family of 5 with a dog, 2 cats and chicken. Our children are 11, 9 and 5 years old. We can all speak English and German. Our house is 500 years old and we are looking for someone to help out with dog sitting, gardening and cleaning up the property. Currently we are working on making a large vegetable garden in front of the house. Our location is around 13 km from Dannenberg and Lüchow. In both of these locations there is access to public transportation. At our house there are bikes that you are free to use. We are also looking for people that are willing to be a part of our family life. We plan on cooking and eating together. On our property there is a trailer with beds and a large table.   We made our first experiences with workawayers in our last project. It was nice to have international people at our house for ourselves and also our children. The free lifestyle of travelers always helped us get out of our busy day to day lives and feel more lively and young. We can share our knowledge about gardening (currently start-up phase). For people that enjoy playing music, this would be a good household to visit.

  Help

  If you choose to join us you will be helping out around our old farm house. Tasks will include helping us to get our garden going, helping with a fence, dog sitting and cleaning up outside around the farm. Ideally you are a person who likes kids. We do not expect anyone to take care our children, but it would be great if you enjoy spending time with them and the rest of our family.

  To sleep with have a trailer on our property with a bed and a large table. There is electricty inside with access to internet. The washroom is inside the house. Food is available in the pantry in the house. You will be able to help yourself freely to everything in the house. The kitchen is also allowed to be used freely. It is also possible for you to eat every meal with us.

  What else ...

  This is a beautiful rural area. You can take bikes and visit lakes, forests and other small villages. For such a rural area there is a lot of cultural events. Every year at the end of May and beginning of June there is a big 10 day arts and culture festival in the area.
