 - Description- Welcome to the Casa Ugo – your home away from home in the Abruzzo countryside!
Ciao! We are Sandro and Andrea, and together with our small animal family, we warmly welcome you to Casa – a peaceful home surrounded by nature, olive trees, and mountains in the beautiful region of Abruzzo.
Sandro’s roots are deeply connected to Abruzzo – his father is originally from Manoppello, but Sandro himself was born and raised in Munich, Germany. With a background in gastronomy, he is a passionate host and cook, always ready to share good meals, stories, and laughter. He loves working with his hands, growing vegetables, and preserving old traditions – especially when it comes to food and hospitality.
Andrea is German-born and deeply connected to the natural world. She has a big heart for animals and enjoys being outdoors – hiking, moving, and spending time in nature are her greatest joys. She loves making preserves, creating warm and cozy spaces, and caring for both people and animals with dedication and love.
Together, we believe in living slowly, sharing generously, and creating meaningful connections with people from all over the world.
In addition to our rural lifestyle, we also run a small Bed & Breakfast, which gives you the chance to experience hospitality, help us with light guest-related tasks (depending on the season), and meet people from all over the world.
Our way of life is simple, sustainable, and rooted in the rhythms of nature. We are looking for friendly, motivated Workawayers who would like to support us in our daily tasks – in the spirit of help, learn, and share.
 What we ask of you:
An open mind, a love for animals, and willingness to work with your hands. No prior experience needed – we’re happy to guide you.
We aim for a fair exchange, and always try to adapt to individual preferences and strengths. Open communication, mutual respect, and shared values are important to us. You’ll be part of our daily rhythm – and we love to learn from each other.
 Languages we speak:
German, Italian, and English. We welcome communication in any of these.
If you’re curious about authentic Italian rural life, love nature, and enjoy learning by doing – we’d love to hear from you!
