    Description

Our farm is a gorgeous community farm property on Salt Spring Island, 18 acres with various families and residents.
Your main host will be Freyja, the owner, along with Joy, our garden manager, and various other community members. When you reach out, you’ll be connecting with our coordinators, Kyla and/or Jodi.
This hobby farm has extensive apple orchards and we are working on establishing a permaculture food forest system here by planting a wide variety of fruit and nut trees, bushes, shrubs and berries with herbs and vegetable gardens interspersed. We now have an abundance of berries, and some of the first trees we planted are coming to fruition, yet it is a life long project!

    Spring is in full swing!

We’re currently busy pruning fruit trees, prepping garden beds, starting seeds indoors, and building a brand-new greenhouse.

Upcoming projects include setting up a hydroponic growing system, upgrading our deer fencing, and planting more fruit trees and berry bushes.

We also welcome help with building projects—whether you have experience or are eager to learn!

The work trade is 25 hours per week and includes basic food staples and access to farm-grown produce. Most of the work is quite physical, so please come ready to put those muscles to use!

Please note: we’re unable to accommodate dogs at this time.
