Orginally we started as a fun project to meet and spend time with people from all over the world, but after a while we had to be serious so we decided to open our hostel. We are located in the center of Granada. We have two colonial style houses which are more than 200 years old. We have room for 105 people. We are the biggest Hostel in Granada.
Currently (December 2014) we are looking for volunteers for the following positions:
Bar, social media and promotion (3 people)
We are looking for 3 friendly, energetic volunteers to work three shifts a week (each shift is seven hours) mainly in our bar at night time (16-23) and sometimes in the morningshift in our breakfast restaurant. The main purpose of this position is to socialize with our guests (get the party started & lead activies as quiz nights etc.) The working vibe is fun and relaxed! Each volunteer receives three free breakfasts from our menu per week. Minimum stay two weeks. No previous experience necessary.
We are looking for someone to set up a website for both our guesthouses as we currently have only facebook. In exchange you receive a dorm bed and free breakfast every day! Stay length depending on agreement, we´ll talk!
We are very keen to hear your ideas as we are always looking for creative self driven people.
Tour & Event Manager
We are developing as a business and we are looking for someone to commit for a longer time, with the motivation to promote/sell/attend to the trips we offer to our guests. This person will work in tight collaboration with the administration. Previous experience in tourism, marketing and hostels is great, but not necessarily reguired.
Here we believe in learning by doing.
As the Tour & Event Manager position would be a long term position (we would prefer minimum stay of thee months). All the details of your stay would be further discussed after contacting us. For us the most important thing is to find the right people for the right positions.
In all positions we are looking for people who are upbeat, creative, and interested in helping us expand the family. We can feel the changes coming.. so come and be part of them.

Granada is one of the oldest cities in the Western hemisphere. In addition to its natural charm, it is filled with ancient churches and museums that allow you to learn about the rich history and development of this beautiful city. For those who enjoy dining out and the night life, Granada is the perfect place for you! The famous Calle Calzada is filled with various types of restaurants and bars for visitors and local citizens alike to enjoy. Even better, Nicaragua is relatively cheap so, for example, during happy hours one can enjoy 2 for 1 drinks for $2! (Oh and did we mention that the rum here is amazing?!) But restaurants and bars arent limited to just the Calle Calzada. One is sure to find other "less touristy" locations just a few blocks away and there is a great nightclub located on a beach called "I Love Weekend" , which usually plays a mix of electronic and latin music.
For the nature lovers out there, Granada offers the Laguna de Apoyo, a picturesque lagoon located in the middle of volcanoes, and The Islands, or "Las Isletas", which is a group of 300+ islands filled with wildlife as well as a few houses. One can also take a hike up Volcano Mombacho which has a cloud forest at the top.
Another benefit of Granada is that it is only a 20-30 minute bus ride away from Masaya, a town known as the heart of folklore and culture in Nicaragua, Managua, the capital, and The White Towns, locally known as "Los Pueblos Blancos", which are home to many artesans and gorgeous lookout points, among other things.
Staying with us we have one long term Workawayer who is in charge of accomodating and taking care of our volunteers. Depending on general wishes we´ll see some of these amazing things Nicaragua has to offer together.
