Hello Volunteers!
This is a small hotel with 10 rooms in Ollantaytambo in the sacred valley near Cusco.
Would you like to live in the last inhabited Inca City in Peru? If so, this might be the perfect place for you!
Ollantaytambo is a living, immaculately and well preserved Inca village with original streets, structures and still flowing canals.
It is a wonderful little town to explore as are the ruins, just a short 5 minute walk from the center of town.Types of help and learning opportunities

Ollantaytambo is a special place, surrounded by mountains and crossed by rivers; people can meet the locals and practice Spanish, it is also possible that they know our Quechua ancestral language. You can learn from our current culture and our ancestors the Incas, here you can find traces of the Inca civilization as the ruins of the fortress of Ollantaytambo. Help
We need some help for different works.
1) RECEPTION
* MINIMUM STAY: 1 MONTH OR MORE
We are searching for responsible and committed people, to help us at the reception desk, who can speak and write fluent English and some basic Spanish (both is preferred).
Most of the time you will be required at the reception, dealing with guests, answering the phone, and registering new bookings.
We are looking for someone who likes helping people, loves passing on information and wants to make our guests feel at home at our small hotel.
For an easier organization of our volounteers schedule, could be BETTER A COUPLE, (anyhow, if you are a SOLO TRAVELLER, don't be shy or afraid! Send your message to us, and we can do our best to manage our schedule with you).
We require you to work 4 - 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Hours are flexible, days off too. If you want to work through two of your days off, then spend 4 hiking to Machu Picchu, we can make that happen.
If you are a couple, you must to know that you will work in different hours (usually 11:00-16:00 or 16:00-21:00), alternating during the day and we cannot be sure that you can take the same free days, but we can try to arrange.
We are seeking a minimum of a one month stay, but may consider 2 week applications.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Friendly and presentable.
Quick to learn, focused and motivated.
Good English and basic Spanish required
At least some computer skills.
2) WEB DEVELOPER + SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER + SEO AND CONTENT EXPERT
* STAY: ONE/TWO WEEKS
We are looking for someone with IT skills, web and social media knowledges who can helps us in develop our website and business in all the medias area (marketing and various social networks, etc). All available tools and knowledges in web area will be very welcome (in English and Spanish too it could be great).
We require you to work 4 - 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Hours are flexible, days off too.
We are thinking about two weeks work, but may consider one week applications.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
IT and SEO knowledges.
Quick to learn, focused and motivated.
Mayby English but basic Spanish required
3) GENERAL MAINTENANCE - PLUMBING - CARPENTRY - SMALL BUILDING
* STAY: ONE/TWO WEEK
If some guy has knowledges of plumbing, electricity, carpentry and/or building and the interest/motivation to make better our hotel, your abilities will be very apreciate! We are searching for someone who can take care of our pipes and other small things to renovate all around here.
We require you to work 4 - 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Hours are flexible, days off too.
We are thinking about one weeks work, maybe two.

Manual skills

WHAT WE OFFER:
Your own room with private bathroom, maybe a twin room to share with other volounteers (if you are a solo traveller).
We will give you a weekly or monthly lunch credit for days that you are working as volunteer at the hotel, which will cover lunch at one of the cozy local restaurants.
For breakfast and dinner you are welcome to use the kitchen with your own food.
An abundance of Inka sites and beauty spots to hike and explore on your free time.What else ...
There is plenty to do in Ollantaytambo. It is a great place to set off for dayhikes or catch a colectivo up to one of the quechua villages in the mountains. Othyer main sights in the Sacred Valley are easy to reach from here on your days off. We can arrange for you to have time off to hike the Machu Picchu trail if you would rather work through your days off one week and save them for the week after.
