  Hi there !
  I'm Antoine, a french woodworker 🇨🇵 living in the beautiful Appennino Pavese in a little village, located in a natural and peaceful environment in the heart of the mountains. ⛰️
  Here with friends we are renovating a lovely typical stone house abandoned for years, to which we are giving a new life, using sustainable and traditional building techniques.
  
  Apart from the renovation itself, we aim to create a friendly community, shaped around skills that people bring here. In fact we're always happy to welcome anyone who could give a hand, share knowledge and/or would want to learn from the others. We're seeking open-minded people who are interested in rural life, sustainability, manual tasks and cultural exchanges.
  
  Volunteers will help with activities such as household tasks, gardening, and small-scale farming. They could also learn about bees as we have a few hives down the house and harvest our own honey.🐝

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  The cultural experience revolves around two main things : food and language.
  Whether it’s helping in the kitchen, learning and sharing from everyone's specialities, or sitting at the table talking long after the plates are empty, food is always an honest way to connect with people. 🥗
  
  This workaway experience can also be a ideal opportunity for those wanting to practice langages as we mostly communicate in Italian🇮🇹, French🇫🇷, English🇬🇧, or a mix of the three !

  Help

  We are looking for volunteers who are willing to participate in the daily life and development of the village. The help required is varied and mainly hands-on.
  
  Some activities where we could use a help involves help around the house, gardening, foraging, cooking...
  
  🪵 We would also need a hand for the fire wood gathering as we only use that resource to heat the house during winter.
  📸 We are also looking for anyone with a good eye for photography as we'll be communicating on the project.
  🎵 Fellow musicians are most welcome as I'm a passionate musician myself, playing both piano and guitar.

  Accommodation

  There is a private room with a two single beds for workawayers coming. There is a separate bathroom with hot water and shower.
  
  🏕 During summer in the months of july and august we usually have a couple of big tents outside the main house for hosting friends and workawayers.
  
  🍝 Meals are always shared and cooked by us.
  We usually have breakfast around 8, lunch around 1 PM and dinner after the sunset!
  Kitchen is obviously open to be used by guests, if they feel comfortable preparing the meals for everybody they're most welcome!

  What else ...

  The house is located in the heart of the mountains in Val Trebbia. During their time off, volunteers could enjoy swimming at the river, hiking, foraging, mushroom hunting, having an aperitivo at the local bar or visiting the sourroundings.
