My sister Angela is a honduranian singer and founded the hostel in 2005. At this time there were no hostels in San Pedro Sula. She realized that there were a lot of backpackers coming to San Pedro Sula and opened the first hostel here. She moved to Tegucigalpa and since three years I, Loret, am managing the hostel.
We have 8 dorms with 8 beds each. But there is also the option to have a private room. We have a spacious kitchen, a living room with tv and wifi.

We are looking for one volunteer who can help us in our kitchen. We sell food like sandwiches, tortillas wirh cheese, baleadas. But we would like to extend our menu to sell more variety. This could be a lunch menu or dinner. We need somebody who has some ideas for nice food and is exited to try new things. We are open to hear new ideas and if you want to share your culture and your food we are very happy. The volunteer will work in the morning.
We can offer a bed in one of our dorms and 2 meals a day. (The food we will eat as well):) Or if you want you can use what we have in the fridge and prepare your own food.
We are located in a quiet part of the city. The city centre is about 800m away. In the center there is a zoo and close by there is a museum of anthropology. The shopping center city mall is about 15 minutes in car. If you want to go out at night there are a lot of different bars and discos. 2 blocks away from the hostel there is a bus station. this bus goes to the main terminal (Gran Central Metropolitana). From there you can take all the buses to the differents parts of honduras.
At day time you could do a hike to the famous Coca Cola sign in the mountains above San Pedro Sula. If you like the beach you can take a day trip to Puerto Cortez, Castillo Fortaleza de San Fernando de Omoa, La Ceiba, Tela, Utila and the little island of Cayos Cochino, where you will find the pure caribean life style. The ruins of Copan are very beautiful and you should not miss visiting them. The lake Yojoa is a beautiful place to visit and hang out. Close by there is the biggest waterfall of Honduras the "Cataratas de Pulapanzak". We also sell the tickets for the tica bus to Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
