    Description

Hi, we are a family run Organic farm certified by Ecocert, situated in the Deccan plateau in a small village Bhodani in Pune Dist, Maharashtra state... The farm is run by Two brothers Satyajit and Ajinkya both bankers turned organic farmers, being born in a farmers family but educated in urban India the love for our soils bought us back to the village and farming, organic was the natural choice of farming as the concept of working with so many micro-organisms and enriching soils and the biodiversity kind of dint let us see further. We rear 60 Indian Indigenous cows of the Gir variety who are free grazed on the farm and make biofertilizers out of their cow dung and cow urine and this is the only input we administer to our small orchards of Pomegranate, Papaya, Drumsticks, lime and other mixed crops, we are a Non-GMO farm and the focus is on all things indigenous and local. The farm and farming we do is for the joy we get and the experience of working with soil, cows and in a food forest is absolutely enriching and exhilarating. We sell weekly in Organic Farmers Market in Pune and Mumbai.
We live in a heritage house built by my great grandfather called a Wada, it is built with all-natural elements like stone, wood and mud and is simply majestic and welcoming to all.
Apart from the farming, we do we are also involved in training and guiding local farmers in growing and selling organic produce.
We would love to have all kinds of people who would love to experience this heaven and we would love to learn from others experiences and knowledge domains and keep finding an innovative cost-effective solution to keep practising this kind of farming, we love the cross-pollination of ideas, cultures, experiences and life.
You can help us in the cowshed, sowing, weeding, harvesting, and processing.
