San Marcos La Laguna is a Mayan village in the Highlands of Guatemala.
There are many events and cultural experiences locally and around the magical lake.
Swimming and watching the sunrise from the yoga studio are also favourites.
You are also welcome to visit the Permaculture land and talk with my local team, learn some of the local language.

My shared home in San Marcos La Laguna next to Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.
I built the house and yoga studio and deck starting in 2012 ,have had hundreds of guests since then.
The home is built to be a retreat style home for all to enjoy the peace and beauty.
The help needed is to take our 3 dogs for a walk ,feed our 11cats and welcome and communicate with our guests.
When guests arrive we show them to their room and on a tour of the house and grounds and yoga studio.
When guests leave we put sheets and towels in washing machine ,dry then store till needed.
Cleaning is done by our local team of guys who are paid fair living wages for the last 9 years.
I built the house with their help also.
All proceeds from rooms goes to paying local fair wages and to the completion of our Permaculture centre and gardens 200M up the road.
