My shared retreat home in San Marcos La Laguna next to Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.
I built the house and yoga studio and deck starting in 2012 ,have had lots of happy guests since then.
The home is built to be a retreat style home for all to enjoy the peace and beauty.
The help needed is to take our 4 dogs for a walk ,feed our 9 cats and welcome and communicate with our guests.
Most of our guests stay monthly or longer.
When guests arrive we show them to their room and on a tour of the house and grounds and yoga studio.
When guests leave we put sheets and towels in washing machine ,dry then store till needed.
Some cleaning of rooms is needed once a week and communal areas is needed daily.
Maintenance and some cleaning is done by Leo who's family is local and paid a fair living wage for the last 11 years.
I built the house with his help also.
We have fast wifi and solar panels and batteries .
All proceeds from rooms goes to paying local fair wages and to the completion of our Permaculture centre and gardens 200M up the road.
