Good day from Roberts Creek, BC.

I work in film. Primarily set design, props, and miniatures, as well as producing aerospace museum models.
My passion is making beautiful creations using technology, and skills learned from many years as a professional artist, and as a hobby. As well as being a team leader, and part of a creative process bigger than myself.
    My website is, thecreatorsguild.ca
The most rewarding and inspirational experiences in my life have been tackling and resolving solutions to complicated projects. Times when minds come together as a team
I am currently designing and producing large scale whale models as a passion project, and as material for my portfolio, utilizing industrial scale 3D printing..
I restore my own classic cars in my spare time. I have made a living as a set designer for major feature films, a props and VFX designer/builder, model maker, chalkboard artist, working in forest silviculture, in construction, as a sign maker, as a pilot, as a sculptor, as a roboticist, as a painter, As an aircraft mechanic, as a dock hand, a private contractor to military equipment evaluation, and just a guy with a truck.
I have built a very large 3D printer for personal art projects.( Can always use help with technical aspects).
I am redefining my career goals, and am focusing on projects more inline with my personal interests.
As of Sept 2023 I have secured a large industrial shop space that is now up and running.
I like to be socially active and have friends around, as well as meet new ones. I have met a lot of interesting travelers through work away, Made some life long friends, and have decided to be involved full time. I think this program has a lot to offer and so far we've all been having a great time.
I always do my best to make the experience rewarding, educational, and a mutually beneficial experience.
Some of the adventures provided to my guests include an introduction to safe and responsible fire arms use, exploring all that the west coast of Canada has to offer socially, and naturally. Hiking, lakes, fire gatherings, Jam sessions.
My place is a ten minute walk to the beach, and a 20 minute walk to the mountains. Bus service every hour.
The atmosphere here is very chill, open, and accepting.
Guests are entitled usually entitled to determine their own schedule to a degree.
*Hours worked vs % of groceries provided is negotiable. Typically for Vegan, and alternative diets it's preferred the guest takes care of their own meals, with groceries provided.

(No smoking, or strong perfumes please.)
    Drivers license is an asset.

    Sincerely, Joseph

    What else ...

Busses run hourly to and from town. hiking and outdoor activities are close at hand. Schedule is pretty laid back depending on what is going on at the time. I am often away much of the year and simply require a gardener/house caretaker. Other times I could use help on projects, and with the technology involved.
