  I am a 60-year-old man, I studied philosophy and have been a teacher all my life in colleges and universities. For several years I have lived on a farm in Cáqueza, a rural area approximately two hours from the city of Bogotá, with a temperate climate, and since I have lived here I have been involved in a project to reforest, plant trees, make it a pleasant place for those who visit me, share domestic activities, make a home garden, etc. I would like to share this experience with volunteers. No previous knowledge of agriculture or gardening is required.

  Soy un hombre de 60 años, estudié filosofía y fui docente toda la vida en colegios y universidades. Hace ya varios años vivo en una Finca en Cáqueza, zona rural a dos horas aproximadamente de la ciudad de Bogotá, clima templado, y desde que vivo aquí estoy en un proyecto de reforestar, sembrar árboles, hacerla un sitio agradable para quienes me visitan, compartir actividades domesticas, hacer una huerta casera, etc. Me gustaría compartir esta experiencia con voluntarios. No se requieren conocimientos previos de agricultura ni de jardinería.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  They can learn Spanish if they are interested, practice conversation or personal classes. They have free accommodation and three meals a day, laundry service, soap, etc. It is also shared if you are interested in walks to the river in summer and walks to get to know the area. Also learn about the agriculture of the region, the coffee process and other typical products. And they have free time to do what interests them, travel to the nearest town, get to know the region and its customs. También conocer la agricultura de la región, el proceso del café y los demás productos típicos. Y tienen tiempo libre para hacer lo que les interese, viajar la pueblo más cercano, conocer la región y sus costumbres. Si les interesa practicas meditación el anfitrión puede orientarlos (es opcional).

  Dependiendo de si es verano o invierno la ayuda puede ser sembrar arbolitos, cuidar la huerta casera (se siembra solo para el consumo domestico), ayudar a recoger las hojas secas y usarlas como abono, ayudar en el proceso de recolección de agua lluvia, jardinería en general, trabajos de cocina y domésticos en general, etc. No se requiere conocimientos previos de jardineria.

  Spacious and comfortable room with private bathroom, beautiful view of the forest. Bathroom with towels, soaps and other utensils for personal hygiene. Covered garage if you have a car. Kitchen equipped for maintenance by the host. If you want to prepare a red wine or some other food, you can do it with the products that are at your disposal.   Habitación amplia y cómoda con baño privado, hermosa vista al bosque. Baño con toallas, jabones y demás utensilios para el aseo personal. Garaje cubierto si tiene carro. Cocina equipada para la manutención por parte del anfitrión. Si quiere preparar un tinto o alguna otro alimento lo puede hacer con los productos que se encuentran a su disposición. Si le interesa experimentar un estilo de vida en medio de la naturaleza, tranquilo y sin ruido, es una buena oportunidad. Internet ilimitado. Espacio cómodo para trabajo online.

  You can walk around the area and learn about the agriculture of the region. Go to the river in summer and swim and meet people. Go to the nearest town and see the Church and the monuments. Also do part of walks in the surroundings of the area. The transport is carried out in groups and is very frequent. The nearest town is 15 minutes away by car.
  
  Se puede pasear por la zona y conocer la agricultura de la región. Ir al rio en verano y bañarse y conocer gente. Ir al pueblo más cercano y conocer la Iglesia y los monumentos. También hacer parte de caminatas en los alrededores de la zona. El trasporte se realiza en colectivos y es muy frecuente. El pueblo más cercano queda a 15 minutos en carro.
