    Description

Hi, since 2020, we are building a permaculture project in the beautiful desert of Baja California Sur on the shores of the marine park of Cabo Pulmo.
Our goal is to build a community based on nature's standards; construction of our housing with natural available resources (super adobe and straw bale), rainwater-catchment and filtering, grey and blackwater reuse, bio-digesting to produce our gas and compost tea while all is running on solar electricity.
We grow our own food (a vegetable garden, milk goats, chicken, bees and in future maybe rabbits). Greening the desert, by influencing water runoff so it penetrates the earth faster and deeper and thus give all that grows a better chance to thrive (indeginiuos cacti, shrub and trees).
We try to not create any trash and if we (have to) use polluting materials (plastics for waterlines and electricity for instance) we compensate by pulling the same amount of of the dumpster, to give a new life (for instance we make building bricks out of plastic bottles).
    Nature dictates and we follow!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are diving instructors that fell in love with this desert, where we 'landed' and want to implement all we've learned and are still learning in our travels.
If you are interested in living completely off the grid, sustainable but comfortable, if you want to learn building techniques with nature's gifts without producing trash or pollution, learn languages (English, Spanish, Dutch, German) and all while enjoying the quieteness of the desert away from 'civilization', watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets, pitch-dark nights, than look no further, you have arrived!
We are not looking for help or educating for marine activities, since working the park is restricted and in need of approvals that are not in our hands.

Pristine and desolate beaches to sunbath, relax with a book or hike. Mountainbiking and hiking the hills, birdwatching, it's wildlife...
