  Hello dear Workaway people,
  
  Welcome to our family!
  
  Our landlady Petra (director) and our cuddly tomcat Kommandant are looking forward to seeing you. Sonnhild (artist) and her two children Frida (11 years) and Samuel (12 years) are also part of the family - they visit us every July and August and in school holidays.
  
  We look forward to welcoming you to our charming old farmhouse on the Pärnhof!
  
  The Pärnhof is a former farm where I, Petra, live in the old farmhouse. Part of the house and an outbuilding serve as a day workshop for an institution for the disabled people with disabilities work there part-time, mainly in gardening, woodworking and herb processing. There is also a stable where goats and sheep are kept in winter - lovingly cared for by dedicated neighbours.
  
  The farm is situated at around 700 metres above sea level, nestled in the picturesque Bucklige Welt, surrounded by fields, hills, forests and the ‘Wechsel’ mountain. It is a quiet area with little traffic. However, this year a small new building project will take place between May and October, so during this time it will not always be quiet here.The Wechsel mountain hut can be reached in just over an hour and a half via a beautiful hiking trail that leads past refreshing waterfalls. At the same time, the Austrian capital, Vienna, is only 1.5 hours away by train.
  
  In our little paradise, we launch a few projects, some larger, some smaller, each year. You can find details about our current projects and planned projects further down.

  Opportunities to explore the surrounding area: Hikes, e-bike available, excursions to lakes & cities - Vienna (capital of Austria) is only 1 hour away by train!
  
  Public transport runs in the village from Monday to Friday!
  There are no buses on weekends, but with our e-bike you can reach the nearest town in 15 minutes to buy groceries or take the train to the next city. Our landlady will gladly assist you upon arrival or departure by car.

  We need support with: approx. 5 hours of help per day, also a bit flexibel, with at least 2 days off per week!
