It’s usually quite difficult for me to watch other people take over my classes, but I didn’t have that problem with him. Justin did a really great job. He prepared for the classes and followed the
… read more lesson plans I had prepared for him. I think he can be a great teacher one day! The kids loved him, and the braver ones spent some time with him outside of class playing football.

I can’t say enough about how great my experience was in Bechyne with Zuzka and Petr. I taught English to kids aged 9-15 for a couple weeks, describing my home nation and playing many academic games that allowed me to learn about the students’ lives as well. The kids at the school are energetic, curious and would consistently want to spend time
… read more with me even after school hours. Zuzka and Petr were so helpful whilst getting me accustomed to the Czech Republic culture and were very knowledgeable English teachers. The surrounding area is quaint and the living conditions treated me quite well during my extended trip abroad. I hope one day I can come back to visit both Zuzka and Petr as they truly are amazing people, and to see the kids I taught develop into awesome young men and women.
We enjoyed helping Zuzka and Petr with their English classes, they made us feel very welcome , the students were awesome very friendly, engaging, polite and taught us about Czech culture. I had a week volunteering at Bechynê school, helping English teachers, Zuzana and Petr, by practicing English with 10-15yo students. The students talk me about Czech culture and I talked with them about Australian culture and animals. We also played some games and learnt a song in English.

… read more about expectations, providing support where needed. The kids were so sweet and brave with their speaking or English. I had a lot of fun with them. Some parents also made me some Czech food so I think I left heavier than I went there!
The accomodation is within the school and I was there alone so had a lot of space to myself but everything I needed. It was a good base to explore Bechynê and Tábor.
Overall, it was a really special and meaningful experience for me and I hope to stay in contact long term with Zuzana and Petr.You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Ashlee is a very friendly, genuine, kind, enthusiastic and easy-going person. Working with her was a great experience not only for the pupils but for the staff members too. She worked really well with the kids and they fell in love with her almost immediately.
