Would you like to meet and work with people from all over the world; to help them and listen to their experiences; working on a pilgrim's path that is a thousand years old.
This is a non-profit albergue that welcomes pilgrims that are on their way to Santiago de Compostela since 1994. It is a public hostel owned by the city hall.
We are looking for a volunteer to help run a pilgrim's hostal on the Camino de Santiago in Burgos, Spain. You will be respònsible for helping with cleaning the hostel after the pilgrims have left, registering the pìlgrims and answering their questions.
You will help the warden of the hostel and will be welcome to stay for one month. In return for your help you will have your own room and breakfast.
This is a small village 20 kms from Burgos. In the spring, summer and autumn many pilgrims pass every day. Some stay the night and some just stop to rest and eat. The weather is warm and very sunny and can be hot in summer.Types of help and learning opportunities
