    Description

    Hello :)

We are looking for longterm volunteers / interns for the 2020 season. Ideally suit a couple or friends happy to share onsite accommodation who are keen to learn all aspects of market gardening in beautiful Perthshire. Ideally from April-October but will consider shorter stays.

We are a team of young farmers running a market garden going into our 4th year of production and grow a wide range of vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers.

We practice no-dig soil management and follow organic principles without certification due to the fact we direct sell most of the produce. Using bio-intensive production methods and wildlife friendly techniques we try and maximise our soil health whilst maintaining high productivity.

Ideally suited to people wanting to find out more about the reality of small scale sustainable farming or planning to start their own farm / small holding and wanting to gain valuable experience.

We would love to share our experiences of starting out and setting up from scratch with people keen to start / develop their own projects.

Farm accommodation at the moment will either be in a static caravan or a spacious family tent (5m2) with kitchen, we will provide some meals at lunchtimes but volunteers are also expected to be able to cook themselves, especially for their evening meals.

We are growing on land that also has a very popular camp site with mountain biking and beautiful hills and great walks in the area,

A train or bus to Perth, then the no.15 Bus, it takes about 40mins and stops right outside!
