    Description

Eric and Joëlle are from Belgium and are creating this Association and Cooperative. For the moment we have a communal house with 2 sleeping rooms available for workawayers and visitors, a bathroom, toilets, and a big (8m) yurt for activities. We developed already a big garden and a food forest and are self-sufficient in vegetables and fruit. Our aim is to co-create a co-living space for +/-8 people and a place where people can come for instance for retreats or workshops. A little bit of help is always welcome to maintain the garden, refreshing the house, preparing a chicken run, cut trees, make wood chips and make (artistic) improvements on the land.
You can experience co-living with communal activities such as lunching together, making a trip to swim in the beautiful river nearby, going to the local market together or doing some yoga, singing or dancing together in the beautiful big yurt. We love spending time together and share and learn from each other. We try to provide the space for each needs and welcome the gifts each can bring. We welcome diversity, freedom of expression and practice inclusiveness.
The area is known for their beautiful paths for nature lovers, to walk. There are nice river beaches around the area, and Coimbra is about 45 minutes from our place.
We prefer longer to shorter stays. From 1 to 2 months, eventually three. Minimum stay is two weeks. We like in advance to meet by video-call.

We are happy to teach you the principles of permaculture gardening. How we observe the earth, how we make it fertile, planting, harvesting, collecting seeds, grafting fruit trees, etc... We also want to share how we make our own bread and jams (figs, kaki, lemon, oranges, ...), cans and chutneys. How to preserve vegetables for the winter, for instance by fermentation or drying.
If people are interested to do some yoga, singing or dancing together, it is possible with Joëlle.
