    Description

We are life enthusiasts, a young family with hopes and dreams like any other, recently fulfilling our dream to live an authentic life in a place we consider a piece of heaven.

Vidra, a picturesque Romanian village, surrounded by rolling hills and sheltered by the foothills of the Apuseni Mountains is the place we now call home.

We invite you where there is time to hear the forests whisper and birds sing their songs, where the sun goes down and paints the sky, where roosters wake you up early in the morning, in a place where you feel most alive. At least we do..

The village’s uniqueness is due to the fact that it has remained mostly unchanged, like it stood hundreds of years ago. All the surrounding elements – The Apuseni mountains with their mystic atmosphere, the hills that come together and expand as far as the eyes can see, the unpolluted air, the completely natural foods and old varieties of fruit trees, the village’s social structure, the ancient habits and customs – greatly contributed to the preserving of the archaic village.

The area with high natural value and full of biodiversity has its quiet rhythm that carries over. People here live a simple yet fulfilling life, traditional agriculture close to nature being their general occupation.

The village’s rustic aura is well-kept thanks to some elements which can rarely be found in today’s modern society: horse drawn carriages as means of transportation for short distances, fountains from the villagers’ yards as a perfect source for fresh and natural water, cows feeding freely on the surrounding hills, a wooden church dating back to the 1700s.

Our lovely home is located on one of the two hills the village stretches on and has a beautiful wide view of the surrounding mountains, cradled by orchards, small fields, untouched natural areas and some really nice neighbours.

We are so looking forward to explore together everything this magical place has to offer.

    Lots of love,

    Alexandra, Codrin & Rafael
