Description
Hello!
We are a family driven holiday location above the artic circle in northern Norway. We rent out 4 beautiful sea lodges to tourists who love fishing and the peace and quiet of the surrounding nature. Each house has its own fishing boat and we also have 3 extra boats that we rent out to tourists that visit our campsite with their campervans or tents. Our busiest months are from may until the beginning of september where usually all the lodges are (mostly) fully booked. Currently we have one employee who is working on-site. In the high season we offer the guests that come by airplane, to be picked up and driven back to the three airports in our neighbourhood. This means Bardufoss, Harstad/Evenes and Tromsø. In the area we have many beautiful hikes and places to visit such as the island of Senja and the national park Ånderdalen, Polar Park (the world's most northern zoo), several places with old WW2 forts and bunkers along the 'Atlantic Wall' and much more. All in all, a beautiful location to be spending your time!Types of help and learning opportunities

The business is family driven, this means that who will absolutely meet at least one of the owners of the campsite. You will be helping out with our employee who is coming from the Netherlands and has been living in Norway for three years. He knows a lot about the surrounding area, fishing, traditions, history and the local community. There is a supermarket at a 3-4 minute drive from the campsite and a shopping centre at an hour drive.
We can teach how to work on a touristic company, everything about fishing, hospitality. If the possibilities are there, we could take you to visit a small local sheep farm in your free time. Here you can learn about traditional Norwegian farming and get to meet very social sheep.
Since we work in tourism, we love to learn from other nationalities, how do you do it in the country where you are from? What is the nature like there? Are there good fishing opportunities there, and want are the rules around that? Maybe even learn some basic words from your language, who knows!Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

It is always fun to learn some words and sentences from different languages! This could even be helpful at our company.Accommodation
The accomodation you will be staying in, is a comfortable cabin on the hill next to the camping. It is on walking distance from the campsite. You will be able to sleep, cook and relax in a comfortable way. As agreed up on you will be able to live there for free during your stay. You will have the responsibility to buy your own food for which we will provide plenty of opportunities to go shopping. There is a local supermarket where all the necessities can be found.
What else ...
In your time off, it is perfectly possible to go on one of the many beautiful hikes in the area here. If you have a full day off, you can also choose to take the taxi boat to Harstad or Tromsø to explore these beautiful cities. If there is enough time in the schedule, we can drop you off and pick you up at the boat or the hike that you want to do as long as it is within this municipality. Besides that, you can also go fishing, swimming or try out the local frisbeegolf course. The only thing we ask for in return is to keep the cabin clean, and truly enjoy the job.
