Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I have lived in various countries before for many years, and I am happy to share some of my experiences with you, including some advice on living abroad. I speak several languages and could teach English if one is interested. I prefer to exchange/teach in an informal and easygoing manner.
I plan to show you around in the Serra da Estrela region.
I hope to learn from you, as a guest, as well. Knowledge exchange should be mutual. -
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
-
Help
I would like help with gardening (fruit trees and area clearing), animal care (dogs and cats), small agricultural projects (tree planting), and water management (irrigation and ponds).

Accommodation
You will be staying on a large remote farm with a barn and house.
I can provide meals and a private bedroom in a rustic house.
I won't cover expenses when going out to restaurants or cafes. -
What else ...
It's important that you are social and easygoing. Good humor is appreciated. We go with the flow, without any pressure. You are expected to be positive and proactive.
When you have time off, you can cycle, walk, or go for a hike/swim in the Serra da Estrela.
I do not accept people consuming drugs or tobacco. I also prefer to limit alcohol to once a week.
You won't receive payment and the farm is private (not business or for-profit). -
