Being world travelers ourselves, and having worked with diverse individuals from all walks of life, we understand the value of sharing ideas, skills, and wisdom. Unlike many farms, we operate in a public setting. Throughout each day community visitors stop by the farmstand or come for a hike, giving a unique opportunity to practice English and learn new people. Here in southern Humboldt, we are remote and separated from the hustle and bustle of the city, maintaining vestiges of California's "wild west" days. What's more, the unique landscape attracts visitors and workers from throughout the world, offering a unique opportunity to meet people from all walks of life.

We are seeking immediate help during the busy planting season! Learn new skills including starting seeds, running farm machinery, transplanting, caring for chickens and livestock, harvesting produce for the farm stand, sales and marketing, property maintenance (such as mowing), managing vineyards, and so much more! Any help is appreciated!
Accommodation includes a tiny home with detached rustic kitchen, tent camping or a vintage airstream. For the adventurous soul, there are quiet places for a private tent camping experience. For those wanting a little more creature comfort, we offer a vintage airstream with electricity. The farmstand is fully stocked with eggs and produce, and the local grocery store is just a half-mile up the road. Getting a ride into town is no problem, and frequent meal shares with the family are encouraged!
Enjoy this rare historic farmstead located on the tranquil Eel river, perfect for swimming or floating (we have plenty of paddleboards and kayaks!). Hike the trails or play frisbee golf in the Southern Humboldt Community Park located directly on-site, or enjoy the alternative lifestyle of rustic downtown Garberville, just a half-mile up the road! Get lost in the ancient beauty of the redwoods as you watch the sunset over lush blue-tinted hills. Since we are a family farm, our spare time involves making music, hiking, swimming in the river, building a cozy fire on rainy days, or just relaxing and enjoying the sunset after a long day's work. We value having an open mind, an open heart, and a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty. Above all, seeking joy and laughter, growing healthy food, and building community are what motivates us to continue our farm life dream!
