  Old forestry village of Onatchiway, I have been living Off grid for the passed 20 years I have a beautiful home with many rooms which used to be an Auberge, I have not operate since 2008. I also have a private little chalet on the lac for a family. Animals welcomed! Lots of work to keep up, but now my health is gone, I need help with the upkeep. The place is located 70km north of Saguenay, Lac Saint-Jean, Quebec, 33km in the forest from the last village of Falardeau, on a beautiful Lake for canoeing, with natural wild life and trails for biking, go camping in the most old mountains the Monts-Valin. Build a fire, play music, lean french. Hear the crickets, feel and live the french culture.
  
  Je vis depuis plus de 20 ans "Off grid" dans un vieux village forestier à Onatchiway. J'ai une très belle maison avec plusieurs chambres, c'était une auberge mais j'ai arrêté l'activité en 2008. J'ai aussi un petit chalet avec vue sur le lac pour une famille. Les animaux sont bienvenus.
  Il y a beaucoup de tâches à faire mais j'ai maintenant des soucis de santé qui me poussent à demander de l'aide pour entretenir le terrain et la maison.
  L'endroit se situe à 70km au nord de Saguenay, Lac Saint-Jean, QC, et à 33km du dernier village St David de Falardeau (33km de chemin forestier en graviers). Il y a un accès direct sur le merveilleux lac pour faire du canoe, pêcher, observer les animaux sauvages, ou utiliser les sentiers de vélo. Aller camper dans les plus vieilles montagnes des Monts-Valin, faire un feu, jouer de la musique, apprendre le français. Écouter les criquets, ressentir et vivre la culture québécoise.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  Being off grid demands knowledge of simple necessities and how to manage them. Necessities such as, power, hot water, generators, woods, how to live with what you got and still feel so plenty. There is so many activities, to name just a few: swimming, boating, canoeing, fishing hiking, camping, blueberry piking last but not least RockBand.First time host! I love animals, I got dog (pyrenees) and a cat. Yours are welcomed too. Vehicle on site on demand and with permission. I have a big library of books and movies, lot of instruments, pool table. Or if you prefer: bird watching, geology, wild mushrooms, wild fruits, berries, medicine plants.
  
  Vivre de manière reculée demande de savoir vivre simplement et de savoir gérer les ressources dont nous avons comme l'électricité, l'eau chaude, la génératrice, le bois... Savoir vivre avec ce que nous avons et se sentir reconnaissant / rassasié. Il y a tellement d'activités ici comme par exemple : baignade, canoe, pêche, randonnée, camping, cueillet de bleuets, ... et j'en passe.
  J'adore les animaux, j'ai un chien des Pyrénées et un chat. Vos animaux sont aussi les bienvenus. Il y a un véhicule sur place, sur demande et avec mon accord.
  J'ai une grande bibliothèque avec des livres et des films, des instruments, une table de billard. Ou si vous préférez : observation des oiseaux, géologie, champignons et fruits sauvges, baies, plantes médicinales.

  URGENT: need a house sitter for the spring period (April to June ), housing provided. Need to take care of my dog and cat as well.
  
  Maintenance and repairs: buildings, equipments....Upkeep: paint, ,pretty much everything that would go in this category, pill, wood, clean the yard also housecleaning, cooking, laundry, groceries ( in town) provided. I would like to learn more about vegan meals, food storage, mushrooms...sustainability. Gardening: I have a lot of wild fruits and medicine plants I would like to learn more about. I would love to create a project with you that you have to heart. Their is so many opportunities here. I would greatly appreciate to learn with you.
  URGENT: j'ai besoin d'un(e) gardien(ne) pour ma maison et mes animaux (1 chien et 1 chat) pendant la période du printemps (avril à juin environ). Logement fourni.

  Entretien : presque tout ce qui va dans cette catégorie comme peinture, bois, nettoyer et ranger le terrain, ...
  Les repas sont fournis mais on va cuisiner à tour de rôle.
  J'aimerais en apprendre plus sur la cuisine Vegan, comment conserver les aliments, aussi sur les champignons, et l'environnement durable. Dans le jardin, j'ai plein de fruits sauvages et j'aimerais en apprendre plus sur les plantes médicinales. J'aimerais créer un projet avec vous sur un sujet qui vous tient à coeur. Il y a tellement d'opportunités ici, j'apprécierais vraiment d'apprendre avec vous.

  3 private rooms: 2 bedrooms with Queen and single, and one bedroom with king size,and one dorm room with 3 singles. Sheared bathrooms (3), living and eating together, picking up after ourselves in respect for others is greatly appreciated. One chalet with one double, and 3 single.
  
  3 chambres privatives: 2 chambres avec 1 lit Queen et 1 lit simple, 1 chambre avec 1 lit King, et 1 dortoir avec 3 lits simples. Salles de bain partagées, on vit et on mange ensemble, il faut débarrasser et ranger après votre passage dans le respect des autres.
