    Description

We are a 4th generation family farm located in west-central Saskatchewan, Canada. We produce wheat, barley, canola, peas, and faba beans. Farming is not just what we do; it’s a way of life we are proud of, and we’re excited to invite someone into that life.

    Position Overview:
This is a salary position, ideal for someone passionate about food production and who understands and embraces the agricultural lifestyle. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into our home, where we share not just meals but stories, laughter, and a sense of camaraderie. You’ll be treated as a valued member of the team, and we’re committed to ensuring your time with us is enriching—whether it's through learning new skills, gaining practical knowledge, or simply experiencing life on a working farm in beautiful Saskatchewan.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity to experience food production on a large scale on the prairies of Canada. By hosting Workawayers, we aim to broaden our own understanding of different agricultural practices and cultures. Every person brings unique experiences, and we’re eager to learn from yours. Whether you have insights into sustainable farming techniques, new technologies, or different cultural perspectives, we believe everyone has something valuable to offer. It’s a two-way learning process that helps us grow, both as a family farm and as individuals.

We have often taken Workawayers to relevant industry events such as the international farm show , Ag In Motion, for one example.

We do prefer Workawayers with previous agriculture equipment operating experience or transferable skills and be mechanically inclined. Our business is producing grains, pulses and oil seeds so when not in our fields, we spend a significant amount of time repairing and maintaining tractors, combines, and other farm machinery to ensure they are in good working order for the next season.
We also usually have jobs on the go around our yard repairing and maintaining farm buildings.
We have a cat and a dog but no livestock such as cows or horses.
